Hawks Provisions & Public House
Hawks serves up delicious eats and great cocktails, in a cozy little spot on the corner. The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars is because they only take reservations for 6+, but the venue is quite small and half their tables are only for two. I tried making a reservation for 5 to no avail and when I arrived an hour ahead of my party it was an 1 1/2 wait. But what I found frustrating at that point is the hostess had been taking any parties for all sizes and putting them on the wait list if they called later that night. Overall, I'll be back but with a party of 6 or earlier in the evening!

Tower Cafe
PEANUT BUTTER TART! I don't need to say more, but since I have to.... The dessert case is amazing and it's so decadent. With an array of refreshing options. If you are a foodie and haven't tried this place it is a must. Quirky atmosphere, very busy.. Great patio! The French toast is lovely and I have heard of this colossal grilled cheese with 5cheese? ....only served during the week. Oh, come on... I can only get there on the weekend..

Table Vine
Amazing find downtown. A place in Sacramento that does affordable fine dining. Chef does wonderful flavors that pair well with selections from one of the best wine lists in town. Excellent Clam Chowder, cheese plate and one of the best Duck Breasts (if not the best) in Sacramento! Schnitzel anyone? Find it here. Menu changes seasonally.

The Coconut
Delicious food and massive portions at reasonable prices. They also have many items on their menu that are vegan and can be made gluten free! The vegetable roll appetizer is super fresh and filling. I liked that the pad thai didn't have a fishy flavor like it does at so many other restaurants. The thai iced coffee was super tasty as well.

Kupros Craft House
I want to love Kupros, but I always find it kind of underwhelming. They have a good beer selection, but I just don't love the food. Plus, it really irks me that they don't give you enough salad dressing to begin with and then charge you extra when you request more. I'd go there for a drink, but if I'm looking for food, I would pass.

The Coconut On T
From the outside, this looks like a little "hole in the wall" restaurant, but inside it is bright and cheery and definitely family friendly. My favorite dish was the Yellow Curry, however, everything we ordered from appetizers to main dishes were delicious. The prices were also very reasonable.

Capitol Beer and Tap Room
This is a great place to grab a beer. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They always have 20 different beers on tap (I think one is usually a cider), so it's easy to find something you'll like and I always am able to try something new. They don't serve food, so feel free to bring your own!

Tower Cafe
A fun dining experience! The menu offers a lot of selection. But the best part was the service. Our waitress, I think her name was Doe, was out of sight. She made our trip out to Tower Café well worth the effort. I gave 4 stars because it was a bit difficult to find parking when we visited.

Gordito Burrito
I am a die hard bean burrito fanatic. But I don't love Gordito Burrito's burritos. What I go there for are the nachos! Crispy chips, melted cheese, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa...good stuff. The service is quick, their prices are spot on, and they have beer. Check them out!

Capitol Garage
Great place! It is eclectic inside and the menu is always changing. Brunch is definitely my favorite time to go to CG. Dinner is always great and they are good about accommodating big groups. Now that the weather is getting nicer, the patio is perfect with a glass of their sangria.

Just a moment...
