They totally saved us when our A/c went out! Summer in Sacramento is not doable without a.c.. Fast service, and great price too.

Jeff's Plumbing
Called them second time for the same problem the owner was very, very, rude. All of sudden he did not remember 250.00 he collected from me or the job he did only few days earlier....Call someone else to get the job done right the first time...

Boyd Plumbing
Quoted me $249 to diagnose. After cutting a hole in the ceiling (which they do not repair) told me wasn't a plumbing problem. Then overcharged for the job. When I asked about the extra $140 charge he said it was for turning in my shower and stuff. I had to call and request a refund.

If I could give a more negative rating I certainly would. I purchased the top of the line water heater recommended by this Company. 17 months in to my purchase the pressure sensor has failed and I have not had hot water for 5 days. Candice in their office does not return customer phone calls and throws their own technician under the bus rather than helping with a solution. I wish I had never used this Company or purchased the Polaris system! I have never received the paperwork necessary to register the unit with the manufacturer. Really poor customer service. The only bright spot was Mike the technician. He tried to help me despite the inter-office bickering. Save your money and time and don't use this Company!

Jerusalem Plumbing
Able to work on very old plumbing, and old water heaters in tight well as garbage disposals, dishwashers. Sinam is very thorough and conscientious and works hard to give you the best affordable options.

Straightline Plumbing
Worst experience with a contractor ever. STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIRING SOMEONE ELSE! Here's a few of the highlights: they lied to me about their experience; they did such a poor job originally that the County made them re-do the job before the permit would be signed off; their guys came stoned and smoked pot and cigarettes in my crawl space when they thought I couldn't tell (super stoned); their guys left trash and open trenches in the work area; they took SIX MONTHS (no lie) to finish a job that they promised in 1 weeks' time; caught their guys napping on the job; they left me hanging three times when promising to come do the job (causing me to miss hours of work all three times because they don't call to say they aren't coming); they destroyed landscaping and irrigation, promised to repair it, and then never did. Seriously, I don't know how these guys stay in business.
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
