Pachamama Coffee
Needed a caffeine fix and planned on going to Starbucks on J St. - parked the car right in front of Pachamama and went in! Super delicious, rich blend (you have a variety of organic options) and some tasty treats from Freeport Bakery. Totally worth it and such a great change from the usual. I also LOVE the interior - they had a a local artisan/carpenter create amazing counters & tables from "already dead" trees.

Big O Tires
Great place ! Had these guys do some work for me before and always been very satisfied with their work and prices. I just had them install a difficult 8" lift kit on my ford turbo diesel . Done a great job ! Beat everyone on labor price too :0) they even re-torked everything for free after I drove it for a while . I'd defiantly recommend you drop by and check them out James

Radial Tire Service
When the service at our local shop went down the tubes, we were searching for a shop with great service at a fair price. Radial Tire has done a great job with all of our vehicles and always been very reasonable with the pricing. It is nice to have someone honest to work with.

Tires For Less
Great place to get used tires. Great service. Fast and efficient. Generally a very short wait before getting service. They charge a $1extra if paying with a debit or credit card. 2nd visit to this location, once last year and now this year, service still excellent.

Tire And Wheel Mart Inc
Very good prices and service. I have used a lot of little shops like this (vs big chains that charge for air and valve caps) for tires and rims the past 30 years. Bought two tires and alignment, very good prices and service.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
