Tic Roadside
I needed help fixing a flat tire because my jack was broken so I called my roadside assistance and they linked me with this "company". I waited an hour for them in Chico. I finally called and he answered the phone with only a hello, no indication that I had called a company. I told him about the situation and he said he had two people in front of me so it would be longer than the estimated one hour. He just kept rambling on with excuses so I said okay and hung up. Canceled it with my roadside assistance and had someone else help me with the tire. Super unprofessional!!

All Valley Tow & Transport Corp
the tow guy was great! took a shorter route to save me money per mile, that was nice but they charge 15 more to hook up and tow plus mileage then my normal guy, if I'm in a bind maybe but wouldn't be my go too

AAA Roadside Service of Sacramento
This is such a great service. We have had this for over 20 years. They are on call at all times. I have had them come out just to put air in my tire. Great thing to have for teenagers driving around.

Superior Truck & Body Inc
I arrived in Sacramento from Oregon and my RV "died" on a city street. Called Good Sam Club and they sent Doug to fix the rig on a Sunday morning. He quickly found the problem was a bad starter and fixed it. He also found an unusual problem with a pinched wire in the ignition column and fixed that as well. Amazing service!

Enforcement Tow
This company does Code Enforcement Towing from private property. They do not get positive reviews. People are not going to say a positive when they parked ILLEGALLY and had to pay $$$ to get their car out of impound. They do the job, believe me, they do the job well.

AAA Roadside Service Of Sacramento
It's a great resource to have, even if you don't get a tow. I've used it when I ran out of gas, battery dead and locksmith.

Tips & Advices
Yes, most roadside assistance coverage plans offer towing services. There might be certain restrictions, however. For example, the plan may only cover towing services for a certain number of miles. Drivers should check with their providers for details.
Which cars are covered depends on the roadside assistance provider. AAA services are available to members and not specific to any vehicle. As long as members pays their dues and have their membership card on hand, they can use AAA for someone else's car. Generally, auto insurance plans cover the car itself, not the driver, so people can't use their roadside assistance for another. However, details vary between providers, plans and local laws. Drivers should consult with their insurance providers to see whose cars are covered.
Roadside assistance coverage varies depending on the provider. However, they generally include:
  • Tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Towing services
  • Locksmith service
  • Minimal mechanical labor
  • Delivery of oil, fuel, batteries or other parts
If a driver has a flat tire and no spare, roadside assistance services can deliver a new one. However, these services will not pay for the cost of the tire. That will be the driver's responsibility. Based on the location, some will tow a car to a tire dealer.
Most roadside assistance plans offer gas delivery and service. However, clients are generally responsible for the cost of the gas.
