Auto One Complete Car Care
I can't understand the negative review .The staff was courteous and informative . I went in for an oil change only, when I was told that my brakes were bad they showed them to me and explained the needed repairs fully. Granted its not the news I wanted , but the repairs were done quickly . I don't think anyone wants to hear something is wrong with their car however I would rather know than not. I felt the service was more than adequate and the staff exceptional.

Car-X Tire and Auto
We have been using Car-X's services regularly for as long as I can remember, and they have always been professional and courteous to us. My dad was the first one to go to their shop, and he raised us to go there too. We tell all our friends to go there since we've never had any problems with them. Regular maintenance and emergency repairs are all taken care of. Thanks Car-X!

We were driving down a lonely side road and we lost a wheel and broke an axle. We knew the repairs would be costly, but we were flabbergasted at the quotes we got from the first place we stopped at! Car-X offered a much more reasonable price, and they seemed to know what they were doing more anyways. We'll never go anywhere else again after this experience, that's for sure!

Christian Brothers Automotive
I had such a present experience here! Took my car in to be inspected and the staff was friendly and helpful! The office is clean and offers goodies such as snakes and drinks. I was in and out within 15 min. They even called me to thank me for coming in! I will be taking my car here for any future needs! Thank you Christian brothers!

Mannix Automotive
This is was of the most reliable and honest mechanic shops I've had the pleasure in dealing with. Rich was able to tell me what was wrong with my car, and fix it the same day. He followed through on promises made, and is some one I would highly recommend. This is where I will go for all my automotive needs.

Motorman Garage
He is very honest, I took my 1993 BMW 740iL for a Control arm bushing replacement, he checked and tested the car for free and told me that it only needs an alignment, he did not charge me anything, I went to Firestone, did the alignment and that did fix my problem (car used to vibrate at 55 mph)

Took my car here last week to get my air conditioner fixed up, and these guys were great and very helpful. I thought, considering that I had two missing parts, that the $400 bill was very fair - and my car is now blasting cold air, which is exactly what I needed

Motorman Garage
I took my car in expecting costly repairs based on a previous diagnosis at another garage. Motorman alerted me to a probable scam and repaired my A/C unit at a fraction of the cost. I am now a customer for life! This is an honest mechanic!

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
