Collision Company, Inc
We took our son's car to the Collision Company for a body repair. While the car was in their possession, the stereo system which was mounted in the trunk was stolen. They called my son on the day the car was ready for pick up and said they had to go over something with him regarding the car.. They said the stereo was stolen out of the car but there was no damage to the car's body so the car was apparently left unlocked on their lot overnight. The shop supervisor admitted that it was likely an employee (a porter) that moved the car from the garage to the outside lot that intentionally left the car unlocked for the stereo to be taken later. When asked if they had security cameras on the property, they said the cameras do not work and the employees know that. We asked if they had insurance for this and the office manager said the owner wanted to pay for this out of pocket. It was very high-end equipment (@ $4,000) that we put in the car when it was new in 2010. We provided the details to her and she said she would call some stereo shops and get back to us within a day. After two days, we had to call her and she informed us that they decided WE need to claim the loss on OUR insurance and The Collision Company will pay our $250 deductible! This is not a cell phone or laptop that was stolen out of the car...this was hard-wired amplifiers and speakers that were mounted in the trunk! Their employees knew what was in there. If someone stole the engine out of my car while it was in their possession, would my insurance have to cover it? This is why THEY have insurance! Our insurance agent said if we claim this, our rates will likely go up as a result. So Collision Company admits that one of their employees left our car unlocked on their lot resulting in our high-end stereo equipment being stolen, and they feel they should not have to pay?STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

All Pro Collision Center
A horrific experienceI had the same situation. My car was taken in after a wreck. When assessing if a car would be repaired or totaled, a formula is used based on the amount of estimated damage cost. Needless to say, my car should have never been repaired due to the amount of damage. In retrospect it was obvious the damage exceeded the formulary and the bill at the end of the process verified my initial notion. The repair from All Pro took over SIX WEEKS from October 23 to December 4. We were promised to have our car back on November 13. Then, they kept delaying several times to November 21, November 25, and December 3. Each time they delay, they offer no rental car until the fourth time at the insurance company’s request. The car was delivered to All Pro Collision on October 23, 2015. I came to their shop and took several pictures including one showing the windshield in good shape. All Pro Collision broke the windshield during their repair process and then claimed it was not part of the accident. They refuse to replace the windshield. We got the car back with the broken windshield. We just want our car back after six long weeks.

Alfa Collision Center
I recently had my Toyota bumper replaced from Alfa Collision and found David and his team very professional and courteous to me. They gave a very reasonable and fair quote and delivered the replacement work as promised on time. They also buffed and waxed a little bit of scratches on the door that existed already as a bonus for no charge. I had done similar work with them on a previous occasion on my older car and had experienced similar top quality service back then. I highly recommend this auto shop for any automobile repair work. They are good !!!

Alfa Collision Center
David (owner) has an unbelievable attention to detail! I have a red Audi A4 that had rear end damage. This required repainting of the metal quarter panels and the fiberglass bumper cover. With these two materials and the unique red Audi paint, it made it difficult to match the two surfaces even though both had fresh paint. Without me specifically saying I was unhappy, he voluntarily called me and asked me to bring the car back in because he was not happy with how it turned out. (He had told me originally to take it home and look at it the following day in sunlight, but then called me directly after I took it home.) After a second attempt that HE was not happy with, he called in the regional paint expert (at his own expense) in order to make it perfect. Long story short, he treated my car like his own, and I am extremely satisfied with his work and customer service. I strongly recommend Alfa to anyone who needs their "baby" treated well!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
