Ruben, James B, MD
I go to see Dr. Ruben for my son. My son has a special genetic condition that he has to be seen every 6 months. I have mixed feelings about Dr. Ruben. I think he likely does well with adults but I don't think he transitions well with kids. Luckily my son is a really easy patient. Even with that...he's 7. His patience seems flustered if my son doesn't do the instructions as given. Come on. He's 7....and he still does better than most adults. I'm not convinced on his expertise with my son's condition. I'd love to get a second Dr to see my son but with Kaiser you are limited. I just hope Dr. Ruben uses his expertise for 110% for my son. Oh. And I don't like that he wants to charge me another $50 charge for a "follow-up" appt just 2 weeks after his main appt just to check his pressures. I don't think so.

Roseville Dermatology
I love the staff at Roseville Dermatology. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly. The product room is well stocked and events are very well done, informative and fun. Carly always does an amazing job with makeup and being very honest with the products and services provided by the office. I see Kelly weekly for facials every 2 weeks. She's amazing and has done wonders for my skin and skin care regimen. Jennifer is amazing with a needle and her knowledge of cosmetic procedures is second to none. There is no one I trust more!Celeste is a wizard with a laser and so friendly and caring. Shannon is so informative and helpful in my care. I've really never had better skin and skin care before.

Bruque, George A, MD
Dr. Bruque is the best pediatrician my daughter has ever had. We were so lucky to find him. He is a kind person with a gentle, fun demeanor. He is great with kids and teens! He never rushes and always makes you feel like he is really glad to see you. He is wonderful about making sure my daughter receives the best care possible including appointments with specialists. He is a great communicator too and always follows up on how my daughter is doing after she sees a specialist or tries a new prescription. It's so nice to have a pediatrician that genuinely cares about your family!

Gogia, Jaspaul S, MD
Dr. Gogia recently completed my back surgery. I had been in horrible pain for almost 5 years. Dr. Gogia talked me through each step involving the pro's and con's of back surgery and what to expect. It was THE best decision my husband and I ever made! My back is nearly 100% pain free and I have the majority of my life back! I can walk without pain, sit without's been incredible! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gogia. And his bedside manner is very kind and gentle and understanding. He never pressures your decision to have surgery-he just walks you through all the information!

Riley, Amy, MD
I saw Dr. Riley for my Pregnancy and she delivered my little boy! During my pregnancy all my visits with her the staff was friendly and on time. Dr. Riley addressed any concerns I had or questions she is a great doctor. She was calm and quick to Deliver my baby boy when he was coming very fast and put me at ease in the very intense environment. Bonus she reminded my husband to take pictures haha and was quick to get me into postpartum to heal and recover with my baby as well as get me home when I told her I was ready!

Roseville Dermatology
I have been a patient of Shannon, PA, at Roseville Dermatology. She is quick, yet thorough. The office appears to be well staffed, organized and clean. The only reason I gave it 4/5 starts is because after being a cash patient for 3-4 years, this past year they charged me and additional $50 as a "deposit" for my future appointment. I had never been charged this in the past nor advised of this practice going forward. It made me very uneasy and I hope the reconsider this policy.

Dr. Kim David O Canlas, MD
This is my internal medicine doctor and he is great. I has some upper GI issues and he had me checked out thoroughly...luckily nothing major and he recommended probiotics and fiber supplements which straightened me out. He is very knowledgeable and listens to what I have to say. He keeps track of routine healthcare needs that I forget about, and he has personally called to give test results to me on more than one occasion. Very good doctor!

Huang, Michael J, MD
Just started seeing Dr. Huang as primary care a year ago and I like him a lot. He is very soft spoken with a good bedside manner. He's been on time the two occasions I've been there. The only thing I don't like about his office is that it's in a big sutter building of many doctors and I don't like the check in process and so forth. I really appreciate the one doctor private practices with the service and hospitality they bring.

Lambourne, Blake R, MD
Dr Lambourne has been my physician for 10 years now, saw me through 2 pregnancies and 1 delivery and I could not speak more highly of him! He always takes his time to explain everything and answer any little question you have. It's one of my favorite things about him, although it causes him to run late so plan to be waiting if you have an afternoon appointment! Well worth it though!

Doolittle, John, MD
Dr. Doolittle is a true gem! He is kind and understanding and makes you feel heard. He takes his time with his patients and makes sure all your questions have been asked and understood before leaving. Where many doctors rush you in and out and basically just tell you to lose weight, he truly listens and explores all avenues to find out what is really going on with each individual.
Tips & Advices
Radiological exams can be either diagnostic or interventional. Diagnostic exams are intended to detect the presence of a certain condition, like a bone fracture or a tumor inside the body. Interventional radiology uses imaging techniques to assist in treating a condition, usually through surgery, but the procedure itself is not intended to have a direct impact on the outcome of the disease.
The exact process of an exam will vary depending on the specific type of imaging procedure and the goal of the test. Patients will usually be situated near a machine that will direct the appropriate form of energy to the part of the body being examined. Technicians help patients perform the necessary steps to complete the process.
Most imaging exams do not have any immediate side effects. The most important side effect of many forms of radiology is the exposure to small doses of radiation. In almost all cases, a single exam will deliver a radiation dose that is too low to have any effect, but over repeated exposure, the risk of developing cancer from this radiation increases. Radiologists take several precautions to limit exposure on behalf of patients as well as themselves and their staff.
Results from an imaging procedure may be available almost instantly (as with X-rays and ultrasound), or might take a few minutes to develop. However, in some cases it will take a radiologist additional time to analyze and report on the images collected, so results may be delayed by a few hours or days.
Radiologists can perform a variety of imaging procedures depending on their specialty. Common examples include:
  • X-rays.
  • Computed tomography (CT scans).
  • Ultrasound.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
  • Positron emission tomography (PET).
  • Interventional radiology: Using specialized imaging techniques to assist with surgery, either immediately before or in the process of a surgical procedure.
