This pet store has the best prices on the premium dog food Merrick that I feed my dogs as well as all the guinea pig supplies I buy. Their prices are phenomenal on everything.

Petco
Staff was extremely helpful. Store offers a variety of pet supplies, toys and food products. I received a free, small bag of dog food when they found out I adopted a stray. Store offers dog grooming and training.

This store is a little smaller than others I've visited. I must say that the grooming department did a great job with our dog. Thank you Mariah!

PetSmart
This place usually has the best price around town for our dogs food. The workers are helpful, but not overly knowledgeable.

We got a new puppy and had no idea where to go for obedience lessons. Getting food at Petco one day we noticed they hold classes, so we signed up for the puppy 1 classes. In 6 weeks, our 5 month old puppy has learned so much through positive reinforcement. She now knows her name, sit, stay, off, come, stand, down, roll over, wait, leave it, drop it and is working on loose leash walking. Marie is a great trainer. They also have free puppy playtime where you can bring your pup in for socialization. I certainly recommend this class. Plus, Marie has been helpful in answering any additional questions, as well as, giving us suggestions to keep our pup occupied while we are out.
Tips & Advices
Pet owners usually sign a waiver stating that any injury or illness a dog suffers while at daycare is the responsibility of the owner. However, most facilities carry liability insurance and pet business insurance in the event of a serious incident. To prevent illness, facilities are strict about requiring proof of vaccination and general health from a veterinarian prior to accepting a dog. However, in an off-leash setting, scuffles or fights might occur. Reputable facilities will often hire vet assistants who can treat minor injuries and under-the-weather dogs.  For anything more serious, a good daycare should make it a priority to get the dog to a vet, and get in immediate contact with the owner.
