Costa Vida
We went at peak lunch time and almost turned away because of the long line...so glad we didn't! The food was super great. Portions are huge...I had enough to take home for dinner. The only reason I didn't put a '5 star' here is because of a couple employees: the start of the assembly line-ordering...she asked us the same questions multiple times. When we answered, she wasn't listening and changed the order...several times! Maybe she couldn't hear well? Very frustrating. Then the gal at the register was s o s l o w. Between the two of them, that was what the whole hold up for the long line! But again, the food was marvelous! We used a coupon and didn't have any problems with that. Pricing was reasonable as well.

I wasn't impressed by this restaurant. When you first walk in, you would think they would have a menu to look at but you have to go around to the cash register to look at the menu which is next to the bar and the dining tables. I feel bad for the people eating because there's a crowd of people next to them trying to order. They don't have a lot of options for people who don't eat beef or pork. I just wanted chicken tacos with lettuce and tomatoes but they couldn't do that because their chicken was already made in mole sauce and they didn't have lettuce and tomatoes to put on the taco. I got the tacos with mole sauce and it was gross. My husband loved his burrito so maybe that's a better option for people.

I love the sweet pork at Costa vida and that is what has me coming back often. I love their soft tacos with sweet pork and they sweet pork nachos are my favorite. They put a queso cheese sauce on the nachos that is really yummy too! They do need to figure out how to speed up their service tho. When there is a long line (to the door sometimes) it takes a very long time. They are not quick like chiptole's long lines, but they have the same idea as chiptole except they cook the tortillas fresh and cook each burrito, quesidilla etc fresh on the stove for you. This is why it takes longer, but regardless the line can take a while sometimes. But my sweet port meal is worth it every time!

Dos Coyotes Border Cafe
Great restaurant! They never seem to disappoint with the quality of food served. The restaurant is kept clean and the bathrooms are very nice. You must try the Santa Fe chicken nachos with black beans. I've ordered it about 15 times and it's always quality. The employees are very nice and everyone seems to be happy when they are there. The only downside is how close together the seats are inside but that is not truest a downside because there are spots you can go to avoid this close proximity like out side or the sides of the restaurant

Dos Coyotes Border Cafe
Food is consistently good and prepared rather quickly. This is what keeps us coming back. The best time to go though is during non-peak meal hours as the restaurant can get crowded causing lines to form and limiting your seating options. My husband is a fan of the shrimp burrito while I usually order the bean and rice burrito off the healthy choices menu. One soda machine always causes lines to form for refills, which can make me second guess if it is worth the effort! With all of that aside, the yummy food will keep us coming back!

We enjoy the food and ambiance at this Zocalo location in Roseville! The hostesses and servers are always quick with a smile...and on the patio, it is a dog friendly restaurant! Very nice for the well behaved pups. The dishes all have a special flair or twist that makes it unique. Love their version of the chili rellano. (My only critique is the birthday singing...not a fan. I hope they phased the singing out. Can be disruptive to a nice conversation when there are several birthdays!)

We walked in and ordered at the counter. The person at the register appeared to be new so a little slow but polite. The owner or manager assisted us and pure desire our drinks. Great chips and salsa bar...complimentary. Craft beer from Fieldwork and Moonraker, made for a nice change. Food was presented nicely and tasted delicious. We ordered several of the various tacos and they all had amazing flavors. Staff checked in on us to see how everything was. We'll be back!

El Azteca Taqueria
I've been hearing about this place for 15 years and we finally tried it out. Great Mexican food! You order your food and drinks at the counter and they bring it to your table. While you wait for food, the employees bring chips and salsa to you. There is a full bar with seating too. I love the decor and the south of the border feel of the inside which is nothing like what you see outside. It's actually a huge restaurant. Very fun place and we will be back.

The food here is always amazing, the atmosphere is fun, but service is not always great. The last couple times we visited Zocalo in Roseville, our servers were not too friendly, and super slow. The server was quick to drop off our bill, and we planned on staying and having a few cocktails. We ended up having to order from the bar, and the night was early- about 7:45-8:00, and none of the other servers, including the manager, offered to serve us.

Costa Vida
We tried Costa Vida for the first time and were pleased with our choice. We both had sweet port enchiladas and had a choice of corn, flour, or wholewheat tortillas and also got rice and beans with our entree. The food was very fresh--they even made the tortillas as we watched--chunks of dough were put under a press and then tossed onto a hot rotating grill to brown and puff up. The staff members were very efficient and friendly.

Just a moment...
