My 14-year old Rav4 kept giving me a very weak start and one day it did not even start. I took it to the dealer and came back with a two- page long list to repair and estimate that I did not even want to know. I asked a friend for a good mechanic, Hot Rod’s Fabrication & Repair. Owner Rod was very friendly and explained everything before and after he worked on my car. He worked thoroughly and efficiently, and completed EVERYTHING in one day. He finished not only the dealer’s list but also other items the dealer missed. Last but not least it did not cost me a fortune. Now my car runs like a brand new Rav4. I cannot Thank-you enough, Rod. I would definitely recommend Hot Rod’s anybody that needs any repairs or maintenance.

We went to Buick ready to purchase. The salesman we were looking for was not there, so we talked with some else. His exact words to us and my husband was showing me the car: "Are you ready to do something tonight because if not I'm short people and am busy." This was a weeknight and we saw no shoppers. We left unhappy with his attitude and my husband contacted the original salesman to test drive the car again. The salesman was not helpful and when my husband said he could be there at 5:30 the salesman said he was off at 5:00. We were series buyers and the man knew that, but he wasn't willing so be flexible with his hours. Longer story short, we went to Lexus, got amazing customer service, and a better car for the same price!

I work in a nearby office. Complex I had actually heard good things from multiple co-workers. I gave it a try & got an oil change. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to drop off my car during my break and I picked it up on my lunch. Most importantly the price they quoted me was the price I paid. I've been to Jiffy Lube and they always had to add extra charges for things they claim I need...not w/ Midas. I was in and out when dropping off & picking up my car. Will definitely be going back. Good bye Jiffy Lube ...HELLO Midas!

My daughter has been doing business with the Tilley's for quit awhile so when my truck needed a new head gasket I thought id give them a try. I'm so happy with the repair job. I don't know if it was less expensive then other shops but my truck is actually running better now then it had before the head gasket blew. Dave kept me updated on the progress and even ran tests to see when it was ready to get smogged. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the shop too! I'm happy to call Dave Tilley and Co. my personal mechanic!

Dave Tilley is truly in business to stay in business. He is attentive and professional. I had a minor repair to a latch for my Toyota Tacoma that needed replacing. It took all of 3 minutes to complete. I didn't expect him to drop everything and do this, but he was on it without me having to make an appointment or charging me for labor. I wouldn't think of taking my car or truck to anyone else. Incredible service and attention. 5 STARS

Great job, your owner was experienced in Honda CRV's so all the better. Your techs discovered an oil leak through a valve cover gasket and were able to fix it (instead of my having to go to another mechanic for a fix.) Finding that leak answered my unspoken question, how come I have some oil drops on my driveway? No more oil leaks on the driveway now. All the work you did was accomplished fine. Very happy with the quality of the work.

I once again believe in miracles!!! We took our Avalon in for routinel scheduled maintenance. We arrived a little before 1PM appointment and were told it would only take about an hour, so we left to get a late lunch. Lo and behold, a little befoe 2PM we got a call that the car was ready. Not only was it ready in the stated time, but there were no additional suggested maintenance items required.

My experience at Midas was awesome. The staff in the office was very pleasant to deal with and very polite. I had a bad squeak in my rear brakes for about 1 month and could not fix it myself, but my list technicians recommended an adjustment and brake cleaning and I have no more squeaking. I am a very happy customer and will be returning for additional preventative maintenance.

I regularly bring my Audi to Chris for service! A portion of the price of what I paid at the dealer. They are easy to schedule, keep me informed and work has always been reliable. My only complaint....foxnews is always playing on their tv....that one is hard for me to get past....but if that's my biggest complaint, they must be doing something right!

Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
