WOW! I was really upset to see the comment from Sharon O'dell as I have found her comment to be as far from my experiences at this Dr.'s office as you can get. Dr. DeClerk has always gone above and beyond what any doctor has ever done in his efforts to help me and my family. He's come out to the waiting room to see me when I didn't have an appointment when I was upset about an insurance issue (not of their making) and has always taken the time to really listen to the issues we are having. As for the drug reps coming into the office, just because she's not seeing them other places doesn't mean they aren't there! How does she think all of the "free" samples get into those places? I certainly don't think Dr. DeClerk prescribes drugs hoping to cost you more money AND if they do and you bring that up to him he will help you find an alternative. I'm speaking from personal experience! Lets be fair!

Dr. Gaines is now in Fayetteville along With Doctor Thurman ... Doctor Gaines has just a table not setup like with equipment in his rooms. I'm not sure if he will in future , but being a PCP I hope he does. Thier office people are the MOST RUDEST THE OFFICE MANAGER OMG SHE IS A B.NOT NICE RUDE AS ALL GET OUT! EXCEPT THE ONLY 1 THAT USE TO BE THE RUDEST IS NOW A SWEETHEART BJ !!! I'VE HEARD OF THIS HAPPING WITH OTHER PATIENTS WHO HAVE BEEN GOING TO THURMAN FOR YEARS . I LOVE DR GAINES AND THURMAN AS A TEAM , BUT I'M TIRED OF BEING TREATED WRONGLY WHEN I HAVE ENOUGH ON MY PLATE. YOU GO TO A DOCTOR OR TO GET HELP NOT MAKE YOU FEEL WORSE!!!

Dr. DeClerk is fine if you are healthy, but if you have a serious ailment or any chronic disease he can't help you. Worse, I've been in his office many times with family members and there are so many Pharmaceutical Reps running in and out all day long you would think they own the place! They don't even have to check in, just wail back. For the last year members of my family have had medications prescribed that were "new" and extremely expensive, not to mention questionable. Sorry, we have left this practice for all these reasons and more.

The doctors and the tech's were great! I came here for an exam, and was nervous because it is such a large a clinic! I felt like the doctors helped me with any questions or concerns I had. They explained everything to me in a way I could understand that was helpful to me. After my exam I went to the optical area, and the ladies there were so helpful in helping me pick out my glasses, I really appreciated the time they took, and their advice as well. Anyone who is looking for a great eye clinic with great staff should definately come here!

My daughter went through a series of seizures with the final one being a Grand Mal. Being new to this community I had no regular physician. We went through 3 other docro offices that gave poor to rude service. That is not how we were treated at Dr. Declerk's office! They took us in the same day that I called. They also not only referred us to a specialist but, they ordered testing and made the appointment immediately. They took great care of us! I love this doctor and I really love the staff!

I have told my best friend, and Dr. DeClerk is a fine young doctor who cares for his patients and goes the extra mile to serve them. His staff is friendly, caring, and very friendly . Being new to this practice has a lot of advantages. No long waits and over worked staff or crowds in the waiting room.

Pre K Prep
Pre-k prep is what every child needs. Its a small yet very cozy learning center where every child feels important. The teachers there are very fun, creative and educated. Every child is prepared for kindergarten on their own level. Great job Pre-k Prep

They treat my entire family and are very good at what they do. All of the doctors are very knowledgable, and make you feel comfortable. They offer everything in one stop: eye exams, glasses, LASEK, cataract surgery, and much more!

Very poorly run business. No communication between departments. It's impossible to get anyone to call back after leaving a message.no regard for special needs of patient, very long wait time.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
