My mother, who has no knowledge of cars accept to put gas in it, was having engine problems. She went to a auto repair shop in Rockwall and was advised that repairs would cost right at $1000.00. When she called me about the repairs I told her to get a second opinion. She then went to another shop and was told $800.00 to make the repairs. After she described the problem to me again, I told her to go to Horizon Auto Care. Now up to this point I had only used Horizon for oil changes. Off she goes to Horizon and soon calls me back all ecstatic. She had talked to Cliff Payne and was advised that the repairs would only be around $200.00. I immediately drove to Horizon to find out what was wrong with her car. I then learned just how honest the Horizon Auto Care team is. They did not see an elderly woman that they could take advantage of. The other repair center was trying to trump up bogus repairs and costs, I read their repair estimate that was given to Mom. I talked it over with Cliff and he advised that the problem was listed on the estimate but that the rest of the repair items listed were not needed. Horizon made the repairs and her car ran fine till she sold it 6 years later. Since this event, approximately 10-12 years ago, I have never had a second thought in referring any one to Horizon, My wife goes there for all auto related needs, as well as my son. When my daughter starts to drive she to will go to Horizon. It is a true pleasure to go to Horizon. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and they will answer all of your questions and explain the answer in such a way that you actually understand the problem. It is a family atmosphere. They also have a sense of humor. My son had wrecked his Jeep twice shortly after he started driving. Both times it was taken to Horizon for repairs. The second time Cliff called and asked if he could prank my son. Being the caring father that I am, I quickly said YES. Cliff had hung tires all the way around the Jeep, it looked like a tug boat. As my wife and son pulled up to Horizon he saw the Jeep. He quickly sunk down in the seat and began saying he wasn't getting out of the car. Of course he had to get out to get the Jeep and of course there was the Horizon family standing there to give him the keys. Everyone had a good laugh and my son eventually laughed about it. Of course that took a few months for him to start laughing and telling about it. The good thing is he did not wreck the Jeep again, guess he was afraid what Cliff would do next time. I highly recommend Horizon Auto Car to any one if they want quality service with honesty and integrity. Cliff, Heath, Chris, Noah and Joseph (there are others there that I have dealt with at Horizon but I do not remember all of their names) are all good people who really do care about their customers.

Moved to Rockwall from Southern California and had to find a reasonable repair shop right away . We tried Horizon but they screwed up the simple repairs and had ripoff prices . The next place I found was Big D and we will never go anywhere else . Mo the manager is the best , treats you like family and only does what you NEED done . They always take care of us from oil changes and Inspections to an engine swap and Transmission trouble . We consider ourselves blessed to have found a local business that takes pride in their work for a fair price . Our experience has been the best , give Mo and the guys a chance to make a lifelong customer out of you too .

Every time I go get my oil changed they are so busy and always get me right in! This time I went for my check engine light, alignment, among other problems my car has been having. My suspension was really messed up and they treated me like I was family and tried to get me all the discounts they could. They fixed the engine problem,free of charge and my car is running like never before! I was charged 350 for everything! Before I would go to Jackson automotive and they would charge me an arm and a leg for never really fixing the problem. I am very impressed and will go back for all my car needs.

I had all but given up on the previous oil change management at this location, but stopped by, about 5 months ago, because of the hours. I met Mohammad and was instantly sold. I won't go anywhere else without seeing Big D first. They run a first class service!!! Clean, wonderful customer service, friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable team, fair prices, and WOW! FAST! We had to move to Baton Rouge for the time being and I drive all the way back Rockwall to business at Big D and with Mohammad! Thanks for reopening this place with such a Quality experience!

I bought a 2005 Ford Expedition from Cody at Big City Auto and I couldn't be happier with the way the company was all the way around! They were upfront with me from the get go with the few things that were wrong with the car and had it fixed before we even had the paperwork finished! Muhammad is a knowledgeable Technician business owner that has an honest personal approach and treatment of its customers in a type of business that lends itself to abuse by boxed (cookie cutter) type businesses. Rockwall needs to support to its local businesses and this is one of the good ones...

Fair, competent, quick, and polite. Lance is as nice a guy as you'll ever meet. I knew this was where I want to always take my vehicle when Lance didn't do a major repair that he could have easily done. He said it wasn't necessary to do the repair just yet...it could wait awhile. That integrity is often missing in the auto-repair business.

Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts.
