Shah & Kishore
When I began looking for a divorce attorney I was trying to find an attorney who understands the situation I was in. I spoke with lots of different attorneys. After speaking with Mr. Kishore over the phone initially, Mr. Kishore made me feel very comfortable and explained the entire process and made me feel a lot more at ease regarding my situation. I set up an appointment and it was very easy to find their offices which were beautiful. His receptionist and his staff were extremely nice when I initially came in. At the first meeting, Mr. Kishore listen to me in detail and explained to me all the options I had with regard to my particular situation. Due to Mr. Kishore's expert legal advice I was able to get my divorce in a very quick and affordable price.I highly recommend that when you need a family attorney regarding custody or marital property issues, call Mr. Kishore. I thank you very much for all your help!

Shah & Kishore
As an active duty military mother of 4 small children, I was faced with a gut wrenching decision to either stay in a marriage that deflated my self esteem or bare the pain of divorce. I had no idea what to do or who to call. My case was difficult because I had not lived in the US for 10yrs. I contacted Mr. Kishore for help. He was straight forward with me by giving me the positives and negatives of my situation. Even in my venting, he calmly refocused me and assured me that all would be well no matter the outcome. Mr. Kishore not only looked out for the best interest in my case, but he also was very mindful of my financial situation. Divorce is a very emotionally draining process, and it is such a blessing to have worked with a firm that could keep things in perspective, when I could not. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

James Peter Puglia
I was lucky to find Peter Puglia. He worked long and hard for me on severalvery challenging legal issues. Mr. Puglia's approach to legal research and strategy was both creative and multi faceted. I was very impressed with his performance. Peter Puglia's presence on the court room floor is powerful and encompasses all the elements of a determined and intelligent player. At first, being a long distance client was very frustrating. However, due to Mr. Puglia's calm and courteous nature, I was to de stress and get back to doing the things that I love. Peter really cares about his clients. I really appreciated how his indefatigable efforts on my behalf helped me create a balance between my legal obligations and a harmonious domestic environment.

Shah & Kishore
I cant say enough to praise Mr. Devang Shah in particular and the entire team at Shah in Kishore in general. My L1A Visa experience was amazing thanks to Devang and his team. Initially I was a bit skeptical and concerned because of my new office situation. Devang met me as and when required, drafted my petition meticulously, answered all my questions promptly and hence I got my L1A approval. He and his team of lawyers and para-legals have a great professional attitude and attention to detail which is the reason behind their spectacular record. In the process of filing and getting my L1A approved, Devang became a close friend. I cant thank them enough!!!Thanks Devang and Team.

He gets the job done I have also recommend him to other people who seem to he happy with him also. My thought after going threw this with Mr. Milton is good things come to those who wait and I am glad we were patient because my step son has gain so much from this change most being positive.

Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
