Barkingham Palace
"Your dog is dead. What do you want me to do with it?"After 3 hours with BP, I received a call from BP. The exact quote is above. In a monotone, uncaring, zero-empathy voice, I was told "your dog is dead, what do you want me to do with it." The woman's tone of voice implied my dog's death had inconvenienced her. I'm sure the BP staff has some caring and compassionate staff members. But my heart-breaking experience was worsened by one particular staff member.

I went to visit my Mom in FL and took my 2 babies to Barkingham Palace to have playtime during the day. I absolutely LOVED it. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The facility was very clean. Everyday my babies came back clean and happy. I was impressed. Thank you, Barkingham Palace for taking such good care of our family.

Barkingham Palace
I highly recommend Barkingham Palace! Our dog was so happy when we picked her up. My family went on a vacation and needed to find a nice place for our dog to stay over while we were out of town. Since we were leaving out of Port Canaveral we decided to board at Barkingham Palace because it was so close. Overall, a great experience - we are very pleased and would definitely recommend them to family and friends. We will be back...

I don't blast businesses because I know and understand that there's always more than one side to a story. However, I'm breaking my rule and calling out BARKINGHAM PALACE and their puppy training policy. I know everyone will not agree with my stance on this, and that's your right, but, I inquired about taking our new pit bull puppy to training class when he turns 4 months old (he's 12 weeks now). They stated they do not accept pit bulls OR pit mixes due to liability. My belief is that any dog can be trained to be badly behaved and mean or trained to be well behaved. I would think as advocates and dog lovers, they would want to have pits trained properly and encourage owners to do so. We are responsible pet owners and want to do what's right by him and our other dogs. On the flip side, I am not naive and I understand and know that some people have had negative interactions with this breed of dog, so I empathize with that and can completely understand their feelings against the breed. But, we shouldn't generalize with this breed just as we shouldn't generalize with people/religions/races/ethnicities etc. in humans. So, if anyone knows of a training class that takes this breed, please let me know. Thanks.

Barkingham Palace
Despite using them before in the past, and not having an issue; there must be new staff or rules/regulations (well, more so a lack thereof) as Barkingham is not a friendly or safe environment. Upon picking my sweet puppy up after vacation, he was brought to us with massive raw and scabbed spots. We reached out to the owner and told her that our dogs did not experience a loving caring environment and we were told "we have too many dogs here to give yours individual attention, perhaps you should hire a pet sitter next time to come to your house and pet your dogs."So from the wise words of the owner, please do you and your fur babies a favor and use a different company.

Where do I begin?Lol,,,Honestly I can not say enough about this wonderful home away from home and the loving people who run it, My husband and I had a medical emergency and had to scramble to find a place for our furry family members, We looked in a few other places and checked reviews and came right back to this place. Our dogs were treated with the best of care. Lots of love and attention. I was able to see my babies while I was gone and each time I called the staff had no trouble seeing to my request. OMG! What more can you ask for? If and when I need another caregiver for my babies, Barkingham Palace will be the one hands down, Thank you all so much for the care you gave my boys. And you even walked them together. I am so grateful to have you,

Barkingham Palace
Extremely underwhelmed! I found the place to be very chaotic and in need of organization, but what really galled me was the rudeness of the owner! As a Brevard business owner for over 20 years, I can honestly say that this is no way to build goodwill! This place will never see another dime from me and I'll feel very satisfied to see them out of business since they don't care one iota about their customers, in my opinion.

Pet Stop
We boarded our best bud, a Manx cat named Plaz. He had never been boarded before. He is 10 years old. We left him for 2 weeks when we went on our honeymoon. I was Leary to leave him anywhere, but Pet Spot was awesome. They took us for a tour of the clean, newly renovated kennels. The cat room was huge and he had a great stay. I was so excited to go and pick our Plaz up. He strolled right past me as tho I wasn't there. Guess since he was groomed daily and had a full belly and played all day, he didn't need me! Ha, when he realized that it was me, he was purring and rubbing on me. He loved it at Pet Stop and everyone's was so caring. We will board here again!! So nice and clean. The animals are well cared for they even have security and they keep an eye on them during the night ! Really s safe, clean, happy place! Thanks do much Pet Stop!!

Barkingham Palace
I was very upset with the experience I had with Barkingham Palace and will never bring my dogs here ever again. I have two big dogs and Barkingham suggested that I put them into the London Suite which ended up being way too small for my dogs. I was told that my dog had been stung by a bee and was brought to their vet for medication since the swelling was so bad only to find out that I needed to take my dog to the vet once again due to the fact that he never got stung by a bee but instead had an infection in his mouth which began almost a week before they even notified me of this issue. When I tried to talk to the staff about this issue they told me that I was wrong and they did everything they were supposed to do.
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
