Murray's Martial Arts Centers
My name is Kim Murray Jr. and I obviously may be somewhat biased, but I would like to point out a few important points for anyone interested.1. I studied martial arts under my father (and his instructors) for over 30 years. I won't talk about my rank or skills in martial arts, although I have accomplished much. What I want to point out is that I am currently at practicing Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon in Miami, FL. I also run a music business and recording label on the side. I'm still incredibly fit now at the age of 35, I breakdance and still practice martial arts on an almost daily basis. I truly believe that my background / base in martial arts, taught to me by my father, is what gave me the tools to achieve and continue to push for such accomplishments in life. The discipline, work ethic, confidence, and determination to never give up on my lifetime goals and dreams ALL originated from the amazing life skills I learned while training / teaching at Murray's Martial Arts Centers directly under my father Shihan Kim Murray, Sr.2. My father was one of the first lifetime martial arts practitioners and successful martial arts school owners in Rochester. If you have any doubt as to the tremendous influence he has had in this community, you only need and look at the fact that at least half of the other martial arts schools in the city are run by former STUDENTS of my father's schools. Why wouldn't people want to train at the "ground zero" of successful karate in Rochester, NY, where my father continues to inspire and produce both high-level martial arts as well as improve the lives of countless others through fun, quality training. At the end of the day, the results speak for themselves. Look at myself, both my siblings, the vast number of former students achieving high levels in martial arts who went on to try to duplicate the success in their own schools, as well as the thousands and thousands of other people who I have personally assisted and witnessed dramatically improve their lives through training with my father at his schools. It's where leaders are made. The original.

Murray's Martial Arts Centers
Joe Hyams wrote, “A Dojo is an arena of confined conflict where we confront an opponent who is not an opponent, but rather a partner engaged in helping us understand ourselves more fully.” That is exactly what I believe we have found for my daughter at Murray’s Martial Arts Centers (“MMAC”). She has a partner in each and every one of her fellow students; partners who cheer her on and who have helped her learn and become stronger than ever, both mentally and physically. She has sensei who will never settle for mediocrity by simply telling and explaining, but who strive for superiority by demonstrating, engaging and, most of all, empowering. The sensei at MMAC create an amazingly cohesive and fun environment where all students learn valuable lessons of self-defense, self-discipline, self-respect and respect for others. They take the time to get to know each student individually and always provide the positive reinforcement and feedback all children need to succeed. With the help of all the spectacular sensei at MMAC, my daughter has learned to let go of fear and overcome adversity. Most of all, she has learned to never put limits on herself. She sets goals and believes she will accomplish them, just like those who came before her at MMAC. She now understands that a black belt isn’t just something you wear…it is something you become. To say “thank you” seems so trite, but I do not know any other way to express our appreciation for MMAC and all the impressive and inspiring sensei who work so hard to help their students succeed. It is clear the sensei all love what they do, and because of that they have made MMAC the BEST martial arts school around! We are so grateful to be a part of the MMAC family!

Murrays Martial Arts Centers
Like many people living a healthy life style is not always the easiest, especially when it comes to working out. I can force myself to go to the gym, find a workout buddy to motive me, but sometimes you find yourself always coming up short in getting the workout your body needs. I came across Murray’s Kickboxing class online and decided to give it a try. A month later I find myself getting a great workout that motivates me each class. I never thought I would find a place like Murray’s, the people who join all have the same goals in mind. We have fun every class and we also get the benefit of having such amazing coaches. They will continue to monitor you, make sure you are doing all the moves correctly. They remind me when I am struggling how far I have come since day one, so the motivation and the support never stops. I want others to know that they can take the first step to a better you and I think Murray’s is a GREAT place to make that first step.

Murrays Martial Arts Centers
I've been with MMAC since end of June. I didn't know what to expect at first but by the end of class I wanted more. The instructors are amazing and very intuitive to every person. They each have their own style of teaching which accommodates everyone on choosing which class they prefer to take. I normally go to the night classes and the instructor is incredible. While he gets the class pumped and ready to throw some punches and kicks, he observes everyone's technique and gives one on one instruction and criticism on how to improve it without interrupting anyone else. Every class we leave wanting more. There is no pressure on trying to be better than anyone else because everyone there comes in and works on improving themselves at their own pace and comfort level. Looking for a full body workout with amazing instructors? You should really try kickboxing with Murrays Martial Arts. It's definitely worth it. :)

Murray's Martial Arts Centers
I was 9 when I first started martial arts with MMAC. I was a VERY shy tomboy who didn't have many friends and no self confidence. For anyone that meets me now would never believe that to be true, especially my students.Martial arts gave me the outlet to be myself and the instructors helped grow my confidence. 15 years later I am no longer a shy little girl, but a confident young woman that can take risks and doesn't fear the world. I attribute so much of who I am to martial arts which is why I teach. There aren't very many female black belts in the industry anymore and I know the women I work with aspire to be great role models to young girls and help them gain the confidence that we have

Murrays Martial Arts Centers
This is the greatest workout I have ever had. I have always worked out and taken classes at the gym. I have always struggled to find something to really challenge and keep me interested over time. But Murrays makes it fun, challenging and rewarding. I look forward to coming back each time. The schedule is diverse giving no excuse not to come. The instructors are knowledgeable and caring. They always make sure to give compliments and support when needed. LOVE that I found this place

Unified Tae-Kwon-Do
Up until i relocated i attended this school. Price is excellent and the teacher is outstanding. No foolishness and red tape. the first competition that i went to, i gained a whole new level of respect for Dwayne's teaching. His adult and children students were the best in the building thoough the other schools made respectful showings as well. Wish i didn't have to leave. If you are looking for a top of the line teacher for yourself and/or your children...lol...look no further.

MMAC has been a wonderful for my son. He has been a part of MMAC for over a year now. He attends classes on a weekly basis and has taken part in two tournaments that have been a rewarding experience. My son gains confidence and discipline while having so much fun. The Senseis are amazing with the kids. They encourage positive attitudes, respect, and skills that will remain with my son for many years to come.

Murrays Martial Arts Centers
I have been Kickboxing at Murrays since April, and I can honestly say that it has been the best workout I've experience. Its an intense full body work out but I am always having fun while doing it! I am continually challenged physically and push to my limits. I have never seen the results I want as quick as I have with Kickboxing. This comes highly recommended!
