This is the place to go eat pub chow. It's much better than the rest. It's entertaining there because th host is a Hitler impersonater. He might even get angry with you if you try to sit before your party arrives. All fun aside, it's a great place. If you dine there in the winter, pinch a loaf (or bark a solid as we say when we're camping) before you leave the house. The bathrooms get really cold.

I've had scores of lunches at O'Lacy's, and have enjoyed many specials and the home made potato chips, which, as they say, ""are to kill for."" Great choices for beer. Only negative is loudness of bar patrons. You cannot carry on a conversation unless you yell!

This was one of the best restaurants I have been to. My fiance and I went on the recommendation of her brother to celebrate her birthday. The place was not to hard to find and there was no problem getting a table (it was later on a monday night). Well upkept inside with warm atmosphere. \r We started our meal with a french onion soup which was cooler than I expected but tasted good. She ordered a 10 oz sirlion which comes w/ a salad, vegie, and potato. I ordered a broiled sirlion w/ garlic and blue cheese topping along with the same sides. The steaks looked amazing and the flavor and tenderness were even better. When I picture a steak in my head, shamus's is it, thick juicy and medium rare. Can't say enough about it. She pointed out how great the vinegrette tasted on her salad. I tried some myself and it was very good. I also had french fries with my steak, yes, and they were great as well. Crunchy outside with mashed potato-like inside are my favorite. We did squeeze a little piece of chocolate cake in before we left, it was alright but nothing to right home about. All in All, great restuarant we will be going there again soon. It's worth a walk (due to limited parking). Would recommend to anyone for an occasion or an excellent dinner.
17.Rafferty's Irish Pub
2794 Harlem Rd
Having just recently moved to the Buffalo area for graduate school, I've been looking for a good Irish pub. I'm not looking for the pseudo commercialized American-Irish pub, but somewhere I can get traditional Irish food and a pint of Guinness. Rafferty's wasn't it. For a place billing itself as an Irish pub, there were a few things lacking from what I was looking for.\r \r 1. There was no traditional Irish food\r 2. It wasn't a pint.\r 3. It wasn't Guinness.\r 3a. It was Murphy's, so at least an Irish beer, but not as good, in my humble opinion.\r \r I instead had their mushroom burger and the aforementioned Murphy's. The burger was good, though not cooked to order (my ""medium"" was more like a ""well""). The bar staff, for a Friday afternoon with about half a dozen total customers, were friendly with the regulars, but made no attempt at engaging the newcomer. They were prompt and courteous, but nothing more than a perfunctory taking of the order and giving of the bill.\r \r The two TVs had different versions of ESPN on, which was perfectly fine with me until they switched one (the one who's sound was turned up) to Fox News. It's not so much the particular choice of media outlet, it's more that there are only a handful of things that I want to talk about at a bar and politics does not make that list. When I paid my bill and left, there was no ""See you next time"" or any other response from the bartender to encourage me to come back.\r \r All in all, if you're looking for a place to go, have a beer and a burger to watch the game, give it a shot. If you're looking for a place to get some bangers and mash and wash them down with a pint or two, look elsewhere.

I was very impressed with this store. I was having a hard time finding Hills Science Diet and they have it in every size bag you can imagine. While I was there I noticed there is quite a large selection of different brands of food.

GREAT FOOD AND A REAL TRADITIONAL IRISH ATMOSPHERE. We usually just eat at the bar when we go out. This way you never have to wait for a table. Our bartender Larry was a real card. He was hilarious and professional. He just had that presence that made everyone there smile and know that they were special. We just stumble upon Jack Quinn's, but we've been back about 6 time since our first visit. The food is delicious and everything is made from scratch. Larry explained how the owner, who literally lives upstairs, gets up everyday to cook fresh corn beef and he hand cuts every fry. It's so refreshing to find a real scratch kitchen ... and an Irish one at that. This is the place to go if you're in the Henrietta, Honeoye Falls, Avon areas.
