I went in for a consultation to see Mr. Shepard in regards to filing bankruptcy. He told use he could file one and he "thinks" he can get it to go through, not sure due to income. We intended on filing bankruptcy and gave him $100. retainer. However we decided we could not afford the $2,300.00 that was quoted/needed to file for bankruptcy so we no longer needed his services and notified his office we would not be filing.

Fast forward 3 +yrs and his office (Darlene) is calling our relatives to find our address to send us an invoice for $2,200. for services NOT performed or required.

How can you charge me for something that we never did and informed you in writing we would not be perusing???

I have experienced no problems with Mr. Shepard and /or his staff. I have been kept up to date on any, and all matters. He is sensitive to my wishes . I will recommend him to any, and all.

I will give 1 star due to the fact that I can not give 0 stars. My experience with Randal Shepard has been painful and unprofessional. He was not aware of the time of my hearing and arrived late. He would have been later but I called him when I was on the way to the hearing to make sure he was on the way. He had the wrong time written down. Good thing I called. He brought another clients paperwork to my hearing which in turn has created me many problems and heartache. I now have to go to court again due to his mistakes and he is trying to charge me for him to fix what he messed up. His office staff has a turnover rate of about a month. I say that because in the three months I have been working with Randall I have seen three assistants. The last assistant recently called me to ask what is going on with my case. I was shocked. I said you tell me, I hired you. It was then explained to me that the last assistant made a mess of everything and walked out. I will be filing a grievance with the State of Michigan Grievance Commision and taking him to court to get my money back. I feel shocked that there are still people in our modern society that will treat people such a way. I highly recommend you find another attorney.
