The waiting room was extremely full for My child's first appointment; however we did not wait long at all. For his second appointment there was an issue with our insurance provider and I decided to pay out of pocket and deal with getting reimbursed later. On his third appointment the issue with my insurance provider had been resolved, but the provider wouldn't reimburse me. When I explained the issue to the staff upon arrival the office manager called our provider and got me reimbursed within 10 minutes! I was upset during his second visit and perturbed on his third, but the staff never got defensive and did everything they could to resolve the issue. Not not did they provide excellent care of my son , but they were extremely professional and caring. I highly recommend taking your child to Kool Smiles!

At first I wasn't sure how our visit would go. My son was needing a emergency extraction and we were both nervous but the entire staff, from the front office welcoming us with a warm smile to answering all billing concerns to the medical staff greeting us as we walked the halls. Dr. O'Neal and her assistant were excellent with reassuring him that it will be alright. He felt no pain and enjoyed the tooth fairy and all the nice things the doctor said as she used such gentle techniques. Thank you all for a painless wonderful experience for us both. Btw he was excited to get two prizes for being such a strong little guy!

My daughter had an appointment this past Friday on May 6th 2016 and they were supposed to pull the first canine tooth and the first molar tooth instead they pulled the first two molar teeth and left the canine tooth so at this time I feel very largely concerned I do hope to hear back from them on Monday May 9th 2016 2 and this was also paying Insurance the deductible which was very high and then to leave wondering if your teeth are going to come in correctly at this point when they left the canine tooth and pulled the incorrect tooth however the staff is very friendly I hope that they fix the situation

The clinic isn't that kid friendly but the service for my austistic son is the best. We went to 3 other dentists before finding dr jones and dr yode. They are great with him and the nurses make him feel accepted. He gets a special bag of tooth brushing goodies and a prize when he comes and he looks forward to it every time. I am happy they try to educate us (mom and dad) about what snacks are best and what I can do to help my son not get cavities. Mynson had to be sedated for teeth to get pulled before and I want to do what I can so we don't have to do that again. They really care.

My daughter had to sit in the chair the whole time she was back getting her teeth cleaned and listen to the doctors complain and get aggravated about how overbooked they are and that they don't get any downtime. And then the doctor cleaning and working on her teeth was jabbing into her gums and when my daughter said it hurt she started blaming my daughter. And since my daughter is 17 and not a toddler I tend to take her word for it.

Hunting Hills Family Dentistry
I have been going to Hunting Hills Dentistry for 3 years now, and I really appreciate the professional, caring attitude of Dr. Smith and his staff. They always work with me on scheduling my appointments and accomodate my schedule when possible. They also take time during exams and provide clear explanations of diagonsis and procedures.

I was referred to these clowns by my family dentist. Ended up going elsewhere. They were harsh with my kid and talked down to my wife. Then they say they take your insurance when they really don't and you end up with a huge bill. We've even had issues getting the expensive X-rays they took ! Do not recommend this place at all!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lynch's for two years. I have been extremely impressed with Dr. Lynch's professionalism and expert care. I live in Florida and travel frequently to Roanoke to visit my family. His friendly and efficient staff are wonderful in scheduling me during my trips. I would highly recommend this office!

I have been a patient here my whole life (over 25 years) and have seen Dr. Dickey and Dr. Lynch. The entire office is always friendly, prompt, and professional. Additionally, they go above and beyond to fit me in for "emergencies" and work with my crazy work schedule. I definitely recommend this office!
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
