Bob Windsor Construction
In October 2016 I had a roof leak that caused damage to both of my bathrooms, causing them to have to be gutted. I had no experience working with insurance or contractors so I struggled finding a contractor that understood what needed to be done or was willing to work with insurance. After a 4 month search I received a recommendation from a co-worker for Bob Windsor Construction. After a short meeting, Bob Windsor started working with my insurance company and was able to work with them to get the money necessary to do a proper rebuild. His team started working immediately and a short time later I was back in my house. The entire rebuild process was easy for me, his team was professional and quality was top-notch. I am very pleased with the results.

Joe was super. He answered his phone on the first try; he came out within 1 day and was right on time; he quoted a price and then stuck to it even though the job was a little tougher than he anticipated; he was thorough and his workmanship was first class; he cleaned up after himself so well, I did not have to clean a second time after him. Honest, hard-working, great craftsmanship, fair price. Nothing more I could ask for. Next time I need a plumber, it will be Joe. In fact, all my friends and family will know about him, too.

I want to share my experience with Bob Windsor Construction. First of all, he returned my call! He met me at the scheduled time, gave me a quote, I accepted, work began the next day. Amazing! My project was installing a back porch "A" roof and water damage repair to my back door. Bob is accessible and knowledgeable. His crew is timely and highly skilled at their craft. Bob Windsor and his crew deserve an A+ rating! Good People that do quality work.

Swansboro Mechanical Inc
I have used Swansboro twice for plumbing needs. First to replace leaking copper hot water pipes with pvc. Then to correct the fall of a drain pipe from my kitchen sink to the waste drain. Both times they came as promised with a call before they arrived and did a very professional job at a fair price. This is one of the few honest plumbing companies that do not to drain your bank account when they send you their bill. Will use again when I need a plumber.

I Agree on this 100%. Joe is absolutely wonderful. We have been thru so many plumbers, electricians, landscapers etc who just do not take any pride in their work. Joe is an exception. He is professional, completely thorough with his work and very reasonably priced. It is really nice to see that there are some folks left that are responsible, professional and really take pride in their work. I would highly recommend him.

CJ's Plumbing Repair
I have used CJs Plumbing for several years. When I call Joe, he treats me like I am his top priority. Unlike some of the larger companies, he does not schedule me far in advance because he has a bigger job elsewhere. He provides service according to my schedule. He guarantees his excellent work, and his rates are the best I have found. I have referred several individuals to Joe, and they seem pleased with his work.

Bob Windsor Construction
Bob Windsor Construction handled the rebuilding of our home after a major fire costing over $275,000.00. Bob was at our side immediately, working with our adjuster to get us what we deserved. His carpentry was superb. He completely remodeled our kitchen and baths to suit our taste completely. He was always available to us and there to answer any questions. We would highly recommend Bob Windsor Construction.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
