James T. Uchytil Construction
Rebuilt my home totally destroyed by Caughlin Fire. Conscientious, honest, prompt and easy to communicate with. I closely followed all stages of construction as I have some experience with home construction and he did an excellent job. Rebuilt home was three times better than original.

Feed World
I have been buying a sack of wet COB [for milking my cows] EVERY Day for years! I empty them in a barrel that I feed out of THE FEED WAS PALE AND STARTING TO MOLD!!! When I called them they argued and said they don't check the bags!! I needed it to feed my cows at the ranch! When asked if they could bring some good acceptable feed out I WAS TOLD NO! I EVEN HAD TO BRING IT BACK FOR A REFUND! THEY DIDN'T CARE IF MY ANIMALS GOT SICK OR NOT! They have vehicles to deliver hay by customer service FORGET IT! I will not be shopping there anymore and they didn't care.

Walmart Supercenter
Worst Walmart in Reno. The customer service personnel are incompetent and cannot even read their own policy. Also the CO Manager Jeff is just as incompetent and should not even be employed in a customer service position. I had a back surgery a few months ago and recently purchased an air mattress from them, I was unable to use it as it was not comfortable enough for me to sleep on. Walmart's posted policy is a 15 day return with receipt. I tried to return it on day 10 and the customer service people would not return it, they called for an assistant store manager. After waiting for 30 minutes and a manager still had not come up I called the corporate number for Walmart and they contacted the CO Manager Jeff. He finally came up to customer service and said he wasn't going to return the air mattress. I called the corporate number again and at this time Jeff offered to exchange it. I asked him why would I exchange it when I cannot use it. I was within their own written policy and they would not abide by it. I then asked for the store managers information and I was told by Jeff to leave the store because he did not like the way I was talking to him. So I once again called the corporate number to file a complaint against the CO Manager Jeff and to get into contact with the store manager and the district manager. This has been the absolute worst experience at any Walmart EVER!. Walmart isn't known for very good customer service but this store is the worst. I will never again go shopping at this Walmart and I would recommend anyone else not to shop at this store again.

Lobo Services Ltd
I had interior painting done throughout my home...custom colors with accents on rounded corners....The painters Lobo had were professional, very clean and did a beautiful job...the lines joining colors were absolutely perfect and my home looks gorgeous...I would definitely use them again - prices reasonable, on time and VERY CLEAN workers.

IF YOU ARE SICK DO NOT USE THIS PARTICULAR CLINIC IF JANE ADDINGTON IS ON DUTY!!!!! I brought my 7 year old son in due to a bad cough and congestion. This Addington person wouldn't listen to what my son was telling her nor what I was telling her. I told her he gets this every year and the docs always prescribe the same thing. I even showed her his medical records. Reason the docs give him the cough meds and antibiotics they do is to prevent him getting pneumonia. Which he tends to get. Addington wouldn't read the medical folder. She wouldn't listen to a thing we had to say and prescribed something far less powerful as the anti-biotic and an over-the-counter cough medicine. This was not going to work. After basically getting into a yelling match with her she said "you don't like my medical treatment then call St. Mary's and tell them!" No joke!!! Later that night my son got weaker. We were forced to take him to the ER. He had gone into Pneumonia and the doctors said had she just kept to the regular course of treatment NONE of this would have happened. I am happy to say my son is better and back at home BUT I am now stuck with a $17,000 hospital bill and countless doctor bills and no insurance. That is why we went to Walmart in the first place. SHAME ON YOU ADDINGTON and YES I will file against you with St. Mary's. You should have your licensed pulled!!!! You have the worst bedside manner ever. You are ignorant and need to get out of medicine all together. You are a SHAME and DISGRACE to your profession!!!!

Tmb Builders
As a vendor for TMB Builders I would suggest caution when dealing with the owners of this business. We conducted cleaning for the models for nearly 9 months. After the models were sold we invoiced as we had for 9 months only to have the owners ignore the invoices. We have attempted to contact the owners via every avenue we have available and have gotten no response. As a former Regional Loss Prevention Manager for a large National Retailer I was always taught to operate with a high level of integrity. The owners of TMB builders never learned this invaluable business tool. Buyers beware.

Sierra Feed & Saddlery
Wonderful customer service. I only wish they kept more in stock as they are pretty much the only feed and tack store I would go to in Reno. Keep up the good work!
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.

Just a moment...
