If you live in the Reno/Sparks even Tahoe area or are in town and need a message or any spa treatment, they have many. I have to highly recommend "Healing Wizdom". I have had the pleasure of becoming a regular of "Annie's"..Annie Is very sweet , with a warm , caring and calming demeanor. Her massages are very relaxing I prefer a firm to deep tissue where needed or lighter . And Annie seems to be in tuned to my needs and know how much pressure and where I need it the most. Her technique is professional and very experienced .You can tell how much Annie loves what she does. I Always feel re energized, relaxed, and can't wait for my next message.Everyone at "Healing Wizdom "are helpful ,kind and always willing to make my time there a beautiful experience. In fact every time a friend or family visits I take them to "Healing Wisdom" to share my experience. Of course Annie is my favorite. But my Mom my Aunt have raved about all the other staff members. If you get the chance see Annie it's like going to a Majestic Island where you relax and get a great message. Thanks Annie

All Creatures Veterinary Hospital
I am not sure who wrote this, but they certainly can't be talking about me or my hospital All Creatures Veterinary Clinic. Anyone who knows me, knows I would NEVER speak to a client like this. I ONLY use my own AI kit and my technicians are very familiar with it. Not only would I would not use an AI kit I have not used before, but this person clearly has no idea how a collection takes place. The extender kits can be heat sensitive, but not the AI kits and again, I only use my own extender kit, if that was what she was talking about. Also, I require a female in heat for the collection process for first time studs, as most reproduction veterinarians do. The person who posted this is either grossly mistaken, or is flat out slanderous. I welcome a call from her to clarify 775-851-3151

Sally Weare Edney Children's Health Center
The office does *seem* unprofessional until you take a closer look. I spent nearly ten years in medical administration in Seattle, WA. I know what I'm looking for in a health care professional, especially for my own children. This woman and her staff are incredibly busy taking care of folks no one else in the area will touch for myriad and unfair reasons. She is a saint. A very direct and to the point saint who won't waste your time with the fluff and niceties you pay for in "nicer" offices. I trust this woman far more with the welfare of my two children than any other higher cost Pediatrician they've seen to date. Don't judge the book by its cover. This woman and her staff are hidden gems in Reno.

Sally Weare Edney Children's Health Center
I am extremely grateful to have Sally watch for the healthcare of my children. She is professional and genuine. Nothing compares to the quality of care, attention and detail that she provides. I can always count on her when my children are sick and her genuine concern for the health of the children is amazing. I have been with her on and off for the last 12 years (depending on insurance I was on) and I have to say that she provides the quality of care that is much needed for my family. She is very loving, caring, patient and goes over and above for her patients and family members.

VCA Feline Medical Center
I've been taking my baby, Taz, to Feline Medical Center for almost 13 years and would not trust anyone else to take care of my boy. He's a special needs kitty and the care and compassion of the Dr's and staff is top notch! The atmosphere/lobby is peaceful and serene. If you love your feline family and don't want to be surrounded by dogs or any other animals, this is the best veterinary clinic. Heck, even if you or your cat don't mind being around other critters, it's still the best! And my boy deserves the BEST! Thanks so much, Karen and Tazzy Boy

Holistic Pet Care
Dr. Lowell is amazing! My doxie Leonidas has a blown disc in his back and was paralyzed. Dr. Lowell has been treating Leonidas for nine weeks and not only is he able to walk now he can even run alittle. The suggested treatment was a very expensive surgery (Min. $3,00.00) that all the other vets wanted me to get, but we could not afford. This treatment is affordable and very effective. Dr. Lowell and his staff are wonderful, caring people. I will recommend Dr. Lowell to everyone.

All Creatures Veterinary Hospital
I do not know who wrote the one bad review, but I can assure you that Dr. Adams is a perfect choice for a veterinarian, especially for breeding services. I own an English bulldog stud. I have always had positive experiences working with Dr. Adams. Her prices are reasonable, her expertise is evident, and she has gone above and beyond her expected time frame to accommodate many of my clients. I would personally recommend her services to anyone in need of a good veterinarian.

This is the only place I will ever go for waxing services. I booked my first brazaillian wax and had read all the horror stories and was a bit worried, Dana, my technician, put me right at ease and gave me a relaxing, entirely pain free brazallian wax. There was no receovery time needed because there was no pain, irritation or bumps. I am so pleased with my results and will return for re-waxing and other services. I reccomend Healing Wizdom to everyone in the Reno area.

I bought a massage for my boyfriend and asked for a male masseuse because my boyfriend is a tall, big muscular and I wanted someone able to manipulate his muscle density and give him relief from chronic pain. Well Matthew, who is very knowledgeable and thorough got the job done! My boyfriend came home almost wept because he wasn't in such severe pain! I personally would like to thank Matthew for taking the time and making him feel SO much better!

Edgy, spiritual hair for empowered women! Tamara is an artist. She transformed my botched "Paul Mitchell-esque-syle" (crying-in-the-chair) super-cut, into an a fashion- worthy adorable choppy i-can-style-it-or-not and it looks great 'do. With AMAZING, LASTING color to boot. I am soo pleased. I love that Tamara can look at pictures of styles i like and craft my individualized version that works in the real world. AWESOME HAIR!!
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
