battle born lawn & landscaping
As long as I've done business with Jordan and his company he has taken excellent care of me. Even if it is not him personally who comes out to service my lawn, he gives me a courtesy call to make sure everything was done as we discussed, you can't find that type of customer service and customer appreciation these days! They go above and beyond each and every time.

The owner Jordan Thomas sprayed for weeds and said he guaranteed nothing will grow for 6 months. I see weeds growing so i called him and he was to come out on a certain day but didnt show and didnt call.. What a waste of my day... I will not be calling this company again

Dr. Sprinkler Repair (Washoe County)
We had 2 (will take the "high road" by not calling these 2 vendors out by name) very bad experiences before Dr. Sprinkler. The techs arrived as scheduled, in fact a little early, which was a very nice surprise! They were friendly, courteous and professional; they repaired our irrigation system and had us fully up and running in a very short few hours, and for a price that was fair and affordable! We plan on using them again in the not too distant future to install a drip irrigation system in our backyard. Great experience, highly recommended!

Dr. Sprinkler Repair (Washoe County)
As an employee of another company who hired Dr. Sprinkler to do some work, I was pleased with their customer service. A serviceman came and did some work on our system, then our accounting office somehow misplaced the invoice and he was never paid. There was some confusion over the weeks and he had to come back to our office twice and follow up before it was paid, but he was very understanding and respectful.

Dr. Sprinkler Repair (Washoe County)
I have had a few sprinkler repairs that i have been putting off for few years. I called a couple of companies and had them come out and look at the job, the other companies gave a bid the seemed good but never got back with me. I then called Dr. Sprinkler they answered their phone and was very polite on the phone, they showed up on time when they said they would be there. The guys did the job in a effective manner and that was fast. The price was good but more than that the people who worked on the system were exceptional and great to work with. I have lived here for a long time and it is good to see people you can related to.

Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
