I booked a company dinner at Chantilly's resataurant last night and the meal, decor and service were all exceptional. The only problem I had was the wine selected by our waiter, no price was mentioned nor were we informed of the bottle count untill the bill came to our table and we learned that the liquor portion of our bill was higher than the food! There were 14 of us drinking and we were charged for 12 bottles of very expensive wine, not a nice surprise.

The Best darn Fish & Chip in town Went to the restaurant with a coworker for the first time and ordered Fish & Chip and it tasted fresh. The place is clean and lots of parking. Yes, I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Lucia's is local in my neighborhood, but I swear I am not biased because I have only lived here for a couple of years. I lived all over the place for the last 25 years. Hands down, Lucia's is the best pizza around. Their crust is awesome and their comboniations are perfect. Time and time again we have enjoyed their spinach, tomato and ricotta pizza. Of course nothing beats a plain cheese pizza either. And above and beyond all, TIME AND TIME AGAIN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT! The owner is frequently spotted working the counter and is always pleasant. A great place to bring kids too! And they are always quick. Friday night or not, my pizza's have always been done in 20 minutes or less. I love it! \r P.S. The minestrone is rockin as well.

We probably go to Mistral 2-3 times a years, to change, and we are never disappointed: the location is great, the service is very good, and the food is great. My wife only order their risotto. The scenery and outdoor tables are great. They probably remodeled in 2004-5, and looks very nice.

This place has a great Indin food buffet. I normally don't like buffet's, but in this case it was perfect. You can choose if you want the vegetarian or meat buffet. It's very quiet and quaint at night. The owner is very friendly and took very good care of us. Not to mention he made some great suggestions as to what to try.

I've never had a bad experience at Vino Santo. I can always count on going there after a hard day at work and knowing I'll be taken care of. The servers are friendly, polite, and attentive. The menu is good, basic italian food, at reasonable prices. The drawback is that there is not a full bar (so no cosmos or apple martinis). The parking is hard to come by in downtown RWC and it can be hard to get to this place.

Bangkok Bay is my all time favorite. Every time I went there, the food and service were excellent.\r I love every dish that I have tried, I always order chicken basil and curry lamb, they are so yummy that sometimes we need to double our order. For dessert, roti is a must. I took a lot of my friends to Bangkok Bay, and all of them have become the regular customer now.

i am a leader for Sierra Club, and we often have dinner after a hike. I have tried a bunch of restaurants, but Max's is the group favorite. They have a wide variety of foods, so anyone can find something they like. Their portions are very generous, and the prices age good. They can accommodate a large group of 10-20 without problems, and they will even do individual checks, something many restaurants resist

I don't live near here anymore, but still stop by whenever possible. Food excellent, and a lot. Don't like paying for the salads, etc. so don't. But dinners and sandwiches are well worth the price. I LOVE this place, and will continue to go to whenever possible. Not good they closed one in San Mateo though.

No kidding. It is THE best Chinese food in the city. I didn't know this restaurant until yesterday when my girlfriend called me out. We passed by after the movie and decided to give it a try. Hey, great pick, gal. We ended up ordered a couple of dishes to take home for the night. I am thinking to go back tonight. Yum-yum !!

I can't say enough about the Woodside Thai Spot. Every dish is excellent. The yellow chicken curry is exceptional and I can't find a word to describe the mussaman beef. The restaurant itself is small with a family style atmosphere and the owner and staff are always pleasant and courteous. I live on the northern end of the peninsula and make the drive to Redwood City for the Woodside Thai Spot as often as I can. I have yet to find a better Thai experience.

Great teriyaki steak, fresh sashimi, and family friendly. Take out is a breeze (tempura was still crispy when I got it home), and the staff are friendly. Who knew that Redwood City had a great Japanese restaurant? Not me - until I ate at Higuma.\r ONLY complaint I have is that the California rolls (you get them as part of your Bento meal) are made with imitation crab meat. Oh well, at least they're free!\r \r

My husband and I just moved to the area and were craving some Japanese food. So we began browsing the internet looking for something close and convenient. Tokyo Star was the closest, but I was a little worried by all of the negative reviews. My aunt said she went there before, and that it was good, so we decided to give it a shot, and i'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is beautiful. It's calm and relaxing. When looking at the menu I noticed they didn't have any Chicken Katsu (that's our favorite) and she let us order it anyways. I ended up ordering the Chicken Katsu with tempora, and it came with rice, salad and miso soup. Everything was perfect! By far, the best Katsu I ever had.. (i even make my own at home and there's ten times better!) The second time we went, my husband and I decided to just share the Katsu dinner and then order an extra soup and salad. We also ordered a California Roll to share. Our check was $21.00 and we even had left overs. The portions are huge.. and I don't know what people are saying about the service? I've had the same woman the past two times and she is the sweetest thing. She even brought extra Katsu sauce with our to go boxes without us even asking. and at the end of the meal, they give you a cute little dessert. I love Tokyo star and my husband and I will continue to come here!

If you would like to have really good japanese cuisine with a great atmosphere and the most attentive staff, then you have to visit Sakura Teppanyaki & Sushi. My sister and I visited this restaurant on Mothers Day and it was really such a treat for us not only in enjoying the wonderful seafood combination dinner and the sushi was the greatest. The staff were so friendly and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. We would and will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know. Thank you for a very special treat on Mothers Day :)

We remodeled kitchen and were so thrilled when we found this restaurant. It was our once a week or more standard. Run by a mother and her daughters, it is small and you sometimes have to wait but it is worth it. The food is outstanding. Best Thai food in Redwood City! Panang sauce, duck curry, chicken basil, lemon grass fried rice just to name a few of our favorites.

Margarita's was suggested as a good spot to try for after work drinks prior to concert in the plaza. We sat in the comfortable patio area in front of the restaurant and enjoyed well poured margaritas. The patio is good for people watching and enjoying the evening sunset. Also, we could hear the music from the band as well. We ended up ordering light appetizers which were perfect size for two people. I'd go back.

If you're looking for an average slice of pizza, this is the place to go. As East Coasters, my husband and I have been on a quest to find a good slice like the ones we knew back East. After going to Pronto, we're still looking. Go to Pronto for quick and friendly service. Pizza's okay.

Charming little joint... nestled in a mostly residential area of San Carlos. I want to like this place as it's clearly been around for a while and has that ""locally owned"" vibe, but the place wreaks of a greasy feeling. For being a burger joint the burgers aren't phenomenal. The fries are good, but the portions small (boo hoo... fries are the best part of the meal!).

went here yesterday with a very simple request - 1 serving of steamed rice, to go. not only did the host not answer, but he glared at us rudely and then walked away. we politely waited for about 5 minutes as he ran around before we requested our rice from the waitress, who barely nodded as she ran past us. another 5 minutes pass......how long does it take to scoop 1 serving of rice? we asked the waitress again and she mumbles that she forgot! the place is the size of my bathroom, and we were practically the only ones standing there as she ran back and forth past us.....and she forgot our order?! WTF?!?!\r \r i've never been here before and i don't even know what the food is like, but i'm NEVER coming back!!!
