I booked a company dinner at Chantilly's resataurant last night and the meal, decor and service were all exceptional. The only problem I had was the wine selected by our waiter, no price was mentioned nor were we informed of the bottle count untill the bill came to our table and we learned that the liquor portion of our bill was higher than the food! There were 14 of us drinking and we were charged for 12 bottles of very expensive wine, not a nice surprise.

I've never had a bad experience at Vino Santo. I can always count on going there after a hard day at work and knowing I'll be taken care of. The servers are friendly, polite, and attentive. The menu is good, basic italian food, at reasonable prices. The drawback is that there is not a full bar (so no cosmos or apple martinis). The parking is hard to come by in downtown RWC and it can be hard to get to this place.

Exceptional service. We recently had our anniversary dinner there. The duck was juicy, tender. We were seated promptly and great house wine. Our friends came later to join us and a table was set up right away. The food came promptly. The atmosphere was a real French Bistro without flying to France. Tasty wine. Tasty food. More than satisfying portions.

For an appetizer, we had the Assiette De Charcuterie, which had an assortment of meats, pickles and olives. I loved the pork rillette, my girl liked the duck one. The Proscutto was excellent, but there seemed to be a bit too much of it for an appetizer (I know, what a thing to complain about!).\r \r We skipped salad or soup (we're small people!) and went straight to the main courses. My girl ordered the skirt steak while I tried the Coq Au Vin. I'd heard a lot about this classic French dish, but had never tried it. I liked the way it was presented and the sauce the chicken was in was spectacular, but the chicken itself was underwhelming. It fell off the bone and was succulent and moist, but in the end it was just... chicken. For some reason, I expected it to be more! My girl's steak was fine as well, but it was even better the next day when we combined her leftover steak with the leftover sauce from my dish. They should put THAT on the menu!\r \r For some unknown reason, I ordered a desert, although each of us were plenty stuffed. I ended up ordering the Apple Tart, which was okay but ruined a bit by the apples not tasting quite right. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, but they tasted wrong... maybe slightly burnt?\r \r I don't remember the wines we drank, though I do remember the glasses of Pinot we had being much superior to the glasses of a red blend we had. The service was fine, though not quite as attentive as it needed to be, especially when we came to the end of our dinner (waited at least 20 minutes to get a bill).\r \r Overall, a very nice experience and a definite repeat visit (hopefully sooner than 7 years!).

Finally we can get excellent crepes in this area.\r These are authentic and fresh. The only problem is that it sometimes takes a little while to be served, especially on the week-ends. But the wait is worth it especially under their patio terrace or tree-lined sidewalk. And don't think that crepes are only for dessert or breakfast. They have a wonderful dinner menu with flambeed scallops, chicken or smoked salmon. Top it off with a glass of champage and homemade chocolate mousse and voila...

Food was good but servers were rude. We will never be back to the place!\r \r We ordered an appetizer and two crapes. First server messed up our order. He let me repeat every single word I said. I already felt uncomfortable being there. He brought the appetizer and one crape only. We told him ""This is an appetizer."" He said ""When do you need your crape?"" with attitude. No apologize, no re-make the first crape. We had to start with the appetizer and waited for another crape. \r \r It took too long to bring the other crape. While we waited, other customers on the other table ordered, received and gone. Another table got their appetizer (Yes! They could do it for them but not for us!), then got their crape plates. It took that too long! We knew we were not welcomed customers any more. He almost hit me with the hot plate when he brought the second crape. The first crape already got too cold, appetizer was still not finished, the small table got full. We had to eat 2 crapes and the appetizer at the same time. We didn't want that way.\r \r We tried to order something more. He saw us but ignored. OK! They lost our additional orders and big tip! When I took a paper napkin from the next table (Only 1 paper napkin per customer is their default. Cheap people!), he immediately replaced it with loud noise. It was obvious he saw and did it. Is this the ""French"" way? \r \r The other server came to our table and asked how was the food. We tried to answer but our mouths were full, he walked away before we made a comment. Another thing I had to mention was, he talked to my friend only. Not to me at all! He didn't look at me, the question was asked to my friend only. He did exactly the same when he brought us the bill. So arrogant French attitude!

I love this little restaurant: not only is it cosy, intimate and has great food, but the service was wonderful. I've been there a couple times and each time leaves me satisfied but always ready for another night. Their filet of sole is fantastic while also fairly inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you're looking for a place to spend a special night at a not-too-crowded place. I've even seen small parties arranged in one of their rooms, and it seemed as if they were having a really good time.

I've eaten at La Boheme many times and have never been disappointed. It's what I would call lite French eating. They are not into the very heavy, calorie ridden, rich sauces that the French are noted for but what they serve is tasty and in my opinion healthy. But if you just want coffee & pastry indulge and that's where you'll find it hard to decide on which one/ones to eat or to sneak home to eat when no one is watching.

I like Max's and this particular location. I've always had good experiences, and the food is always great. Most people I know rave about the corned beef or brisket. I don't think the service is that great all the time--many servers act like it's just a job and they don't care about the customers. But there's something fun and enjoyable about this location--it's smaller than the one in Palo Alto and the live music (piano and singing) makes it worth it.

Wow a real fine dining restaurant somewhere south of Berkeley! With a wine list you might find at some of the better spots in the Bay Area and a menu (though somewhat compact) which seems aimed at satisfying (I was) and its in.....Hayward? I hope this is a trend for the South Bay and all of us who are getting tired of the long drives after dining in San Francisco or Berkeley or where ever else. When we first arrived we sat at their cozy wine bar and enjoyed the music being played on the vibraphone. Honestly I didn't know there were any spots for jazz down this way. After getting a nice recommendation on wine from the bar tender (we did walk their wine selection on display up front....I admit I am a label reader) and listening to the soothing music we were ushered out to the patio and seated next to a fountain in a lovely, isolated garden. This would have been good enough for me...but then came the food. I'm old fashion and I love a good steak and my favorite is the grilled rib eye. It was cooked just as I asked (medium rare) and my companion had the Lamb (which can be tricky) and they enjoyed every bite. I thought the presentations were good but a little plain and I would like to see more on the starter side of the menu. The desert though was interesting...a grilled, peach Sunday which was wonderful. If you measure fine dining on a satisfaction scale I give Neumanali's high marks. We need more places like this in Southern Alameda County!

I went to lunch here for a company thing encouraging us to eat out in downtown South San Francisco. It was very reasonably priced, and the crepes were quite good...and this from someone who spent 6 months in France :) The portion of potatoes that comes with it is a little small, but I definitely had plenty to eat. Recommended for a good and inexpensive lunch in South San Francisco.

I rate this restaurant a 10 for its service and their tasty food. The staff were very friendly and punctual with the food orders. They refilled our glasses of wine and water without having to ask and our food was hot when it arrived to our table. Most of all, the Ribeye Steak was cooked just right. I strongly recommend this place for anyone who wants the right service and good quality food.
