YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I love, love, love this place. The employees are friendly, the food is good, and the location is easy to get to. I would eat here once or twice a week if I could.

My favorite Mexican joint in Redding area! Great daily specials. Have some great authentic Mexican dishes and their ingredients are always very fresh! Highly recommend!!

the first time I went to this place I took guests from out of town. The food and service was so bad, I was embarassed. The only flavor the food had was salt and the older, overly make-uped waitress with a bad attitude kept mispronouncing the names of the dishes. It was embarassing!

I agree with the first reviewer. Cicada Cantina just is not very good. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Redding that have great food. This place is not going to make it. The owner owns several restaurants in town, you would think he would know the restaurant business. Cicada does not demonstrate that. My advice is to try Guadalajara on Cypress or my favorite La Cabana on Market between Shasta and Tehama, family owned the prices are very fair and the food is very good.

The food is very bland American Style Mexican food, so if that is what you like you'll not be disappointed. Some of the "authentic" dishes just lack flavor for me.

DON'T EAT THE FOOD!!!! My family and I have eaten there about 5 times, and 3 of the times someone got sick. My mother-in-law had chorizo and later in the day got sick and continued to be sick for next day. We sluffed it off to "Cold & Flu Season." The next couple times were ok, but did notice how painfully gassy it was. Months later, we tried again, and my husband got a beef burrito, and I got the chicken. The first bite of chicken had to be spit out. It didn't taste like chicken. It was bathed in spices that I didn't recognize... I decided to eat around the chicken, but still only ate about 1/4 of the burrito. About 12 hours later, I was sicker than I can ever remember. I was in so much pain. I didn't have anything in my stomach, so I dry heaved for what felt like an eternity. I was captive to my toilet for hours. My family, which is quite large, and all the co-workers and friends that we have have all been warned. Please hear my cry... DON'T EAT THE FOOD!!! This kind of restaurant is why I wish that we had the grading system like the bigger cities.
Seems like we hit a network glitch.
