Gurski & D'Agostino Family Dentistry
A friend was looking for a dentist in Reading. Her dentist 'accepted' her insurance but did not accept the insurer's maximum charge for services. I told her that she needs a 'participating' dentist. The maximum charges listed for a service by your insurer is what participating dentists accept as full payment. In the case of 50% coverage for major restorative service, like a crown, Gurski & D'Agostino will accept the covered amount, but 50% will be paid for by insurance and 50% is paid by the patient. You have to manage your health care and your insurance coverage yourself. But Gurski & D'Agostino have the dental insurers that they participate with listed on their web site. Don't be fooled by large national dental businesses who say they accept all major dental insurance; that is what my friend had and it cost her plenty. And not just for major restorative service, everything. When our dentist close to home stopped accepting customary and reasonable charges for their procedures we had to change dentists. Kathy Gurski had extracted a wisdom tooth for me (at that practice) with one yank. When she set up her own practice we changed to her practice. Our old dentist sent my records to Kathy Gurski so she'd have them. Dr. Kathy has done every imaginable restorative work for my wife and me in the 20 years I've been using her as my dentist. She has a great staff too, with hygienists, dental assistants and dental practitioner that all work cooperatively and professionally. The new building has Kathy's touch too; it's beautiful as well as functional. There is parking in the front and along the side. Find your dental insurance provider at Gurski & D'Agostino's web site and schedule a visit.

David M Causa DDS
I've been going to the dentist for many years and have had multiple dentists work on me from routine cleanings through root canals but I have never experienced anyone more understanding, professional, and just all-around amazing at their profession than Dr. David Causa. I wanted and needed to leave a review to let everyone possible know that if you're looking for a dentist to do things right and in the most comfortable, relaxing environment, Dr. Causa and his team are the best of the best! He recently performed cosmetic dentistry for me and I was so thrilled with the results I literally started crying tears of happiness. It's been 3 years with Dr. Causa and his staff and I wish I would have known about him 20 years ago. Thank you Dr. Causa for helping me trust and feel confident with my dentist.

Elite Dentistry
I take my children there. After several visits - I and my husband became patients too. So now Dr. Agnes is taking care of the whole family. I recommend her to everybody. She puts her heart into her work. Results are amazing. My son has had a chipped tooth – fixed in a single visit. You can’t tell it was repaired. My husband, who suffers from anxieties and needed general anesthesia before, after meeting with Dr. Agnes decided to give her a try. Now he smiles at the word “dentist”.

Everyone there is very friendly. The dentists are awesome because they get the job done quickly and I hate to be sitting in a dentist's chair for hours. My 6 year old daughter even loves it there and she has no problem letting them do what they need to do. The only complaint I have is that it is very difficult to get a late appointment so I usually have to go super early before work or leave work early.

Lewis Shad
Dr. Shad Lewis was professional as well as my whole family loves him. He was patient, gentle and kind. My 9 yr old son is no longer afraid of going to the dentist and looks forward to seeing him. In addition, I have the best crown I have ever had. My old crown never felt natural. Now, my crown feels and looks like a normal tooth. We will go to him as long as we live here. His staff is awesome too !!

Dental Dreams
I was not to thrill with my services I went in for a cleaning and they did a half fast job because it did not feel like my teeth were cleaned. I think they need to really care about the people and not rush just because there are a lot of people or either do not take walk ins anymore.

The dentist was very friendly and explained everything in a way I could understand. We didn't feel rushed at all and the office was a kid-friendly place.

The staff was friendly and understanding, especially when my daughter was refusing to cooperate for her cleaning. Everyone showed great patience!
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
