Popeye's food is great however the service sucks at this location. Bee there 4 times. The first time, the lady behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu. I purchased 2 3piece all white meals to go. Got home and everything was perfect. The second time I visited, I again ordered 2 3piece all white meals to go. When I arrived home, I discovered I had received 2 2p8ce all white meals. I called the restaurant and the manager gave me her name and a code and said to stop by and give her name and code at the cashier and I would receive the 2 chicken breasts that I had been shorted. The third time I visited, I ordered 2 3piece all white meals to go. When the food was presented to me I decided to check my order. The sides for each meal were missing. They corrected the problem on the spot.I stopped by yesterday on the way home from the beach since I was passing by Popeye's. After waiting in line inside for 20 minutes, I was finally able to place my order. I ordered 2 3piece all white meals to go. I did not check the order before I left the restaurant.A couple of hours later when we opened the meals to eat I discovered that I had been given 2 2piece dark meat meals. I was furious and called the store about the error. I was told to bring the meals back and they would replace them with white meat. That would have been fine except I live 15 miles from the restaurant and it was too far and would take too much time to exchange the meals. If you're getting meals to go from this place you had better check your order before you leave. Otherwise there is a high probability your oder will be wrong and you'll be as mad as I was!
We've eaten Lebanese food all over the world, but Shish Kabob remains one of our favorites, simply because the food really is Lebanese food. We can get the kind of pickles we like, they'll put French fries in our sandwiches, and the hommous isn't ruined by extra ingredients. It's value priced, too - perfect place for a fast meal or take out.Shish Kabob has the best tabbouli anywhere in the Triangle - it tastes just like your Siti made it. All of their food is wonderful - fresh and delicious. Nice folks, too. They always customize our shawarma for us.We live out of town, but when we go to Raleigh, we always make a point to eat at Shish Kabob. They have the best Lebanese food that we know of - even better than most of the sit down restaurants we've tried. Love their lamb kabobs and their salads!
First the Ribs are not Baby-back they are full size pit cooked and very good. Also try different sides than what comes standard with the order. Anyone can have baked beans at home. Instead, try the fried okra, collard greens, baked sweet potato or many of the other choices.Burgers, salads and sandwiches all good. Chicken tenders could be better. The Catfish is some of the best I've had, you will not be disappointed. The Catfish sandwich as well as the platter are a great value.
