A Personal Choice Vasectomy
I never thought that getting a Vasectomy would be so much fun! I know it sounds crazy, but after watching all 9 of DR. Monteith's instructional videos I felt more knowledgeable about Vasectomies than most of the population. The whole experience, from the website, to the apportionment, to meeting the staff, to the immaculate facility, to how modern everything was, to how amicable the Dr. was; EVERYTHING was incredible! But here's why you are reading this review; NO, there was NO PAIN!! Biting my tongue is 100 times worse than what I experienced during and after my Vasectomy. In fact, the most "uncomfortable" part was when the Dr. had to "feel" me to find where to apply the anesthetic spray. I followed all instructions and had no sexual activity for 2 days. on the 3rd day I was completely back to normal (yes, it felt great!) By day 10 I couldn't even find the small incision!! I totally recommend this practice!!

Capital Urgent Care
I woke up early to see what time capital urgent care opened today and started reading these reviews. I have been going here for years. If you are not sick enough to go to the emergency room but can't get into see your personal provider, this is the perfect place to go. The nurses and Dr.s are quick and professional, just the way I want them to be. If you want to go somewhere where you sit in the over decorated waiting room for 2 hours to see a Dr, that wants to ask you a million questions and then tell you to see your regular physician, don't go here! This facility is clean and quick! Every time I have gone in the past 5 years, they have taken excellent care of me and charged me less than my personal provider. Thank you,Lisa

Capital Family Physicians PA
First Impressions are important. Very busy staff, impolite and not professional. I had an unpaid balance of $9. over 3 yrs ago and i wasn't aware until i had a dr visit. Then was told they don't send out bill notices under $10 and i couldn't be seen until it was paid. After being a loyal patient for over 10 yrs all i ask was why they couldn't inform me prior to my visit. I was told they were understaff and it's not their policy to make patient/customer aware of balance until they arrive at the office. Very inconsiderate and inconvient. No apolgy given. Good Dr, but service is horrible. Took my service eleswhere and very pleased!

Grant Buttram MD
I was in constant and persistent pain and looked forward to back surgery for some relief from lower back pain that went all the way down my left leg. I had to take pain pills to do normal activities. Now I am nearly pain free. Thanks to Dr. Buttram and his staff for their professionalism. I am so happy I had the surgery. Dot Jackson

McCormick, Keith, MD
Dr. McCormick has always been very attentative and professional. He makes sure all of my questions have been answered. The reviews previously posted are quite old. He has gotten a different staff since I began seeing him, and they are quite pleasant. I will continue to see Dr. McCormick because of his caring nature and professionalism.

Schecter Nancy Md
I had a great experience w/ Dr. Schecter. I have epilepsy and she was the first doctor to see me after my first encounter with seizures. We tried every thing we could, but as it got more complicated she didn't mind referring me to a Neurosurgeon over at Duke.

Capital Urgent Care
Fast and good service. They were open later than everyone and took me right in on a Sunday. I had already been seen by another urgent care and not treated. One strep test, one antibiotic and I was better within a day or two. I am thankful.

Capital Urgent Care
My experience at this Urgent Care was excellent. I am not sure about the other reviews. The staff was nice to me and I got in an out in under an hour. It definitely beat going to the ER.. I will go back
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
