I was appalled at the way my friend and I were treated during a recent trip to Charlotte's in Cameron Village. I have dealt with rude or pretentious shopkeepers before, but this made my blood boil and inspired me to leave poor feedback on a number of websites. I was looking forward to visiting Charlotte's because I had 'liked' them on Facebook but had not been able to visit until recently (10/27/12). As we walked into the store, my friend and I were not greeted, rather given a once over which I assume deemed us unworthy of a gracious welcome. My friend had a jewelry return and was met by an extremely sour counterperson who didn't seem in the least interested in helping her, even though the product she purchased was damaged from the store. I left my friend to conduct her business while I browsed and was met by a young lady associate who was considerably nicer than her co-worker. At this point, I was too uncomfortable to shop so I went back to my friend to wait while she finished. After we had left the shop we exchanged incredulous looks at the way she and I were both treated. It is such a shame that on my first visit I had such a bad experience because the shop is adorable and has a wonderful selection of gifts, jewelry (real and costume), cute boutique clothes, and shoes. However, with the number of boutiques in Raleigh and the nearby area, I don't need to deal with such an upstart attitude from a sales associate.

I had a wonderful experience searching for, and purchasing, my fiancee's engagement ring at CMI. I worked directly with Kaye; she was very personable and patient with me throughout the whole process. Kaye was good about returning phone calls and updating me during the process. CMI listened to what I was looking for and they were able to quickly (within 3 days) bring in a variety of additional settings and loose diamonds for me to choose from. The diamonds they brought in were perfect given the budget and parameters I provided CMI with. My fiancee's ring was special ordered in platinum and arrived when promised. My fiancee loves her ring and we enjoyed prompt same-day service when the ring needed to be re-sized from 6 1/2 to 5 1/2. At CMI you can expect great value and personable customer service from a trusted and experienced jeweler. I feel the blend of price, service, and quality at CMI is top-notch!

I had the pleasure of speaking with dean about some of his fine jewelry he sells. I picked up a nice necklace from dean for a Christmas gift. He was more than helpful when it came to picking something out. I will also shop at his store when I want to guy jewelry. Thanks again Dean for the help

i love shopping at Charlotte's and it's always so exciting when you receive a Charlotte's bag as a gift! The girls are always so helpful and sweet and go above and beyond when trying to help me find gift ideas. One of my favorite stores!!
