We had a wonderful experience with BEB!  They were fast, responsive, and thorough from beginning to end.  The two men who came for the work was very friendly and did a great job. We had a lot of furniture in the way and the moved what was needed to stretch the carpet and remove the wrinkles.

Barry is the man! I was very impressed with his business etiquette. He came when he said he would. Finished the job that I hired him for, in the amount of time he quoted when he got there, and for the quote he gave me. He even patched up some other areas I requested without any fuss for a reasonable price. I was very happy with the work. Today is day one, but I already feel comfortable with him and know that the repair will last. I'm going to have him back for another job later this year.

Great and professional service. Did a rip-up so carpet could dry after a water damage in the basement.

They provided a pet odor treatment for my entire upstairs. I had severe pet odor from sick pets throughout the years as it was embedded in the subfloor beneath the carpet. This was a extensive 2 day process, but definitely worth the inconvenience. The crew was professional throughout the process.

Will recommend! The first company I tried failed to show up as scheduled. BEB was able to get my rugs stretched! Thank you!

Legacy Flooring Lw
Strongly suggest you not do business with Legacy. I bought carpet and install from Lowes. They hired Legacy to install. They cancelled first install date. Took over a dozen calls to Lowes and Legacy to get second date for install. Even though I paid for them to move furniture, they said they could not install unless I moved furniture. I hired movers, since by now carpet was holding up my entire project. The morning of the install, I called Lowes and they confirmed install would be completed that day. Legacy never showed and never called. At 2:30, I called Lowes, who called Legacy who had no excuse. 45 mins on the phone with Legacy led to discussing the problem with a senior manager. He personally guaranteed that they would install this coming Thursday. We will see if they show. The problem is two-fold: first, they are overloaded with work and can't met their (Lowes') promises. It will likely take months to get your carpet installed. Second, their people are frazzled from irate customers and will often blame Lowes or poor communication with Lowes for 'having to cancel'.
Tips & Advices
In most states, contractors are required to have a license before taking a job. Some states also require registration. To be licensed, contractors must pass an exam and meet certain qualifications that prove he or she is a competent flooring contractor. Registration is simply a list of who will be performing a job.
The time it takes to install flooring depends on the type of flooring and the size of the room or rooms involved in the project. In one day, a typical contractor can usually install up to 2,000 square feet of carpet, 600 square feet of hardwood or laminate, or 400 square feet of tile or stone.
  • Do you have a professional license, insurance, and a business liability policy?
  • Who will work on the project?
  • Do you subcontract, and do you screen workers and have insurance policies to cover them?
  • Do you have references or examples of your work I can see?
  • Do you charge for an in-home estimate?
  • What type of flooring is best for my home in terms of architectural consistency, environmental influences (such as whether a certain type of flooring will be affected by humidity in my area), and durability?
Legally, insurance is not necessary, but it's a good idea for flooring contractors to have it. When hiring a flooring contractor, ask whether the business is insured. If it's not, consider that a red flag.
A flooring contractor should know the pros and cons of each flooring option. These might include pricing, time of installation, durability, and average lifespan of the material.
