Dr. Tyson J. Roe, DDS, P.A.
Let me say first of all that I have had major issues with my teeth since childhood. I was one of those babies who were given tetracycline(sp) that ruined the enamel on my adult teeth. That means I get a lot of cavities and discolored teeth regardless of what I do for my teeth. I have always felt that Dr. Roe only recommends doing what I need and nothing more. I have never felt pressured to do work that was not necessary. Some of the dentists I have been to in the past made me feel like it was all my fault that I had bad teeth. Dr. Roe and his staff never have. They understand the issues I face with my dental health and understand I have to live within my means in getting my dental needs taken care of as I can. They work with my insurance company on major work.As a former military family we have moved around quite a bit. I must say that as many dentists as I have seen over the years - he is one of the best. He took over Dr. Lotz's practice several years ago and was hand picked by Dr. Lotz for a reason. He is a trustworthy and compentent dentist that I trust my family's dental health to. I recommend him to all my friends and will continue to do so.Dr. Tyson Roe has been my dentist for over 9 years. I am sorry for the other reviews I have read on here. His practice is awesome and they go out of their way to make me feel important. Their new facility is state of the art. I had a crown done today and didn't have to come back for a second appt. They made it in office - how cool is that!

Bright Smiles Family Dentistry
I started my invisalign treatment with Dr. Rouhani on February 2015 and about 7 months later I am done. I am extremely happy and shocked at the results. There was a little discomfort throughout the process but overall it was pretty easy. Dr. Rouhani and his team are amazing. From my initial consultation to my last appointment to pick up my retainers, they have been very friendly and have answered every one of my questions and concerns. Whenever I need to change an appointment or request an early morning slot so I can go before work, I was always accommodated. I did a ton of research on invisalign and had a few consultations. Bright Smiles gave me the best price and my treatment time was shorter than expected. If you are thinking of getting an invisalign treatment, I highly recommend Dr. Rouhani and Bright Smiles Family Dentistry.

Sedation Dental Care / Raleigh Smile Center
We love this group! My husband originally started going after years of avoiding the dentist due to bad childhood experiences. After the first couple visits he no longer needed any sedation and in those two, they were able to give his teeth a long overdue deep cleaning. I started going after a HORRIBLE experience at another dentist in town who could not get a molar numb to do a root canal and crown. Both dentists at Sedation Dental Care know the latest techniques in numbing and dental care and have the patience to get it right. I've had 2 crowns replace with ceramic that they can make right in the office so no need to do temporaries and return for the permanent crown. All the staff are fabulous here!!! Any need for crown or night guard adjustments are handled quickly and free. Love this practice!!!

Bright Smiles Family Dentistry
These guys are simply the best...Sara, Peggy, and especially Dr. Rouhani!I began my Invisalign treatment in February 2014. I've finally reached the end of my treatment in May 2015, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did they correct my teeth (especially my Madonna gap--LOL), but they gave me Zoom! whitening, which totally makes my teeth white and shiny! They always worked around my super-busy hectic work schedule, and they did it quite effortlessly. It also helped that they could deal with my crazy sense of humor (and even play off me from time to time). They gave me a sense of confidence that I've never felt before with my teeth, and I will be indebted to them forever. Go see them for all things toothy--it will be worth it!

Paresh C Naran, DDS
I knew my mouth was bad but a tooth started hurting so I went here, I ended up needing a root canal and a few cavities. I was planning on moving to FL in less then two weeks, and his whole office was so helpful about getting me in to get everything done on time. The office staff is friendly and efficient, the nurses are friendly, and the Dr is gently and painless and knowledgable, he will also explain in detail and show you your X-rays, I dislike going to the dentist, but I went back 3 days in a row to get all my work done. And it's not a big deal, worse thing is holding my mouth open, which he has a little bite down thing to solve! Great dentist glad I picked this office, would HIGHLY suggest going here if needing a dentist!

Dr. Tyson J. Roe, DDS, P.A.
Dr Tyson Roe is an excellent dentist. I have trusted him for 9 years now & have never been disappointed. He is kind & his assistants are friendly & make you feel at ease. I especially love Janet, she is gentle & encouraging & gives me tips on how to keep my teeth the best they can be. Dr Roe's new office has a spa like feel which is definitely peaceful. No one "likes going to the dentist," but when I do have to go, Dr Roe is my choice. When I've needed work done, it has been more pain free than any other dentist I've had. His fees are also reasonable. I would recommend him most highly to any friend or someone looking for a good reputable doctor.

Sedation Dental Care / Raleigh Smile Center
I LOVE Sedation Dental Care. I have never been completely sedated but had a high fear of dental procedures and required nitrous oxide for everything including cleanings. No longer need it. Trust them implicitly. The entire staff is incredibly nice/caring/professional. Have never had an unpleasant experience in the 20 or so years I have gone there! My mouth is a challenge (understatement) but Dr. Dan is a perfectionist, always striving to do it right! GREAT quality in a dentist! Karen is my awesome hygienist. I love the entire staff. From high fear to enjoying the visits..now THAT is a success story to be sure!

Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Dave Olson is the BEST! We live more than 30 minutes away from the practice but would still drive twice that distance to see him. We have two children and although most of our visits have been for routine care, we have absolutely called on them in an emergency capacity a couple of times. The office decor and setup is totally geared toward children and the staff is attentive, responsive and patient. Our children have had zero fear because everyone there is so thoughtful about taking each visit at the child's pace - not the office's schedule. We recommend them without reservation.

Bright Smiles Family Dentistry
I saw 3 local dentists before finding Dr Rouhani , they all said no to invisalign for fixing the gap in my teeth but Dr Rouhani said yes. The advice , the treatment and the friendliness in this office is like none ive seen before. I chose Dr Rouhani because he seemed the most genuine. He was honest about my treatment, his expectations and I felt well looked after. I think everyone should have invisalign from a Dr knowledgeable enough to administer it. Treatment took less time than expected and now I this great smile thanks to you guys.MWAH!Jerry L , Knightdale NC

Dr. Ku is an excellent dentist and the best that I’ve ever met. She treats her patients with gentleness, love and patience. Because she’s not only doing her job, she really cares about her patients. Also she knows how to utilize her staff to better serve each patient. Many people are afraid to go to see their dentist including me, because of the fear of pain and the treatment they have from their dentists. But the experience I have in Dr. Ku’s practice makes it such a difference. I know she and her team truly takes good care of my teeth.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
