At least that's what Pastor Lynton tells us:) My daughter and I have been going to CFC for a couple years now, and LOVE it! The staff is honest, humble, caring, funny, unified, and have a heart for the community. Pastors Lynton and Judy love God, people, and each other with such a sincere fervor. My daughter LOVES going to youth group. I personally, have never seen a better youth team. CFC is a place where you can feel safe, encouraged, and loved.

So blessed to have found UR! To join with others who believe that God and His precepts should come first constantly challenges and amazes me. I used to wonder where the Protestant church was in the abortion fight as so many seem to be reluctant to step up, but here, we obey all of Gods Word including fighting for the unborn, working with those harmed by the lies of abortion and our permissive culture and really, constantly challenging each other to live holy and make a difference in this world. Like Jesus commanded the disciples. I am proud to have Pastor Wooden as my pastor-it's unpopular to stand against the grain of this culture but in order to be Christlike, that's what we are to do and UR does it well!

What a great school! Our oldest has been there since kindergarten and is now entering 3rd grade. Our other son will be entering the 3 year old class soon. They have sports, after-care and summer camp. The tuition is very reasonable. When we initially considered the school, when compared to some others in the area, we thought, well, "it isn't new" But once I saw how the facility interacts with the students, nothing else mattered. These teachers LOVE these children. It shows in everything they do. We were concerned when our son was entering school that we would have to "deprogram" bad behavior or attitudes picked up from classmates. In 3 years, we haven't had to do any of that. These are good kids from good families. We had looked into other schools in the area, mainly "newer" campus'. We found after interacting with students and families from these schools at off-campus recreational sports classes, we believe them to definitely be more secular than Friendship. We love Friendship. In fact, as we drive by these other schools on our 35 minute daily trek to school, we give thanks that we have such a wonderful place for the children to be. We do not worry for their safety or about what they are learning (either from staff or students). We love that the school goes through 12th grade, and as a products of the Wake County Public School System ourselves, we love that our children can remain at Friendship for the duration of their education.

Okay, admittedly I'm a bit biased since I'm the pastor. But come check us out. We hold to the truths of God's Word boldly (even if those truths aren't popular) and aren't afraid to take a stand. But at the same time we are genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming (thanks, not to the pastor, but to our caring members who honestly want to reach out and connect to people). We'd love to have you come visit us sometime or check out our website at http://www.TheMainThing.us. Lord's richest blessings to you as you search to find the right church for your spiritual growth. We look forward to meeting you! In Him, Pastor Rob Guenther firstname.lastname@example.org

Our church is a Bible believing/teaching church. We tithe back into the community and therefore are doing what our Lord God has commanded. We support many ministries and even offer a thrift store where folks can save a lot of money on things that they need or want. It is a very large church and I've been going there for a very long time and have watched it grow and I love the people there. They are loving and warm and will do pretty much anything for you. There is a message there for you and you are welcome at all times.

we became members of this church b/c it was the only one in the area that reminded us of our church back home. unlike some of the modern looking churches in the south, this one is reminiscent of the chapels in new england with its tiled floor and stained glass windows. the best part is the diversity and community of the congregation - we love it!

I've been a member of the United Church of God for 21 years. I moved to Raleigh about 10 years ago and have been greatly blessed with fellowship and instruction. Now I'm the pastor of the congregation... so my review may been biased. But if you are looking for a 7th day Sabbath keeping congregation in the area this is a good option to explore.
5412 Etta Burke Ct
Buddhist Places of WorshipChurches & Places of WorshipTemples
*** Note: Center has moved to Etta Burke Ct., Raleigh. A very informal, accessible center for those curious about Buddhism. A Sunday teaching is held with a very accomplished monk from India who speaks English and is very funny. Throughout the week there are classes held to learn more about Buddhism from a basic level or for more advanced students. A predominantly non-native congregation (aka people who were not raised Buddhist or who come from predominantly Buddhist cultures) makes Kadampa unintimidating and people are very willing to help newcomers. The new center has an expanded bookstore, library and children's place. They are also involved in projects outside the center like prisoner outreach and adopting a stretch of highway for cleaning by RDU. I recommend this place for anyone who is even curious as to what a monk is like or what a Buddhist center would be like. They aren't into converting people.

The Triangle Center for Spiritual Living teaches a Science of Mind philosophy that really makes a difference in my life. The classes and community activities are also wonderful. Rev. Dusty Rippelmeyer and Rev. Bill Turner are AWESOME -- full of love, fun, and wisdom! I love that we honor the threads of truth of all faiths.

This church rocks! St. Mark's is located in the heart of North Hills in Raleigh. The pastors are young and energetic and the church is focused on fighting hunger and being a safe haven for kids.\r \r There is an increase in the young adult memberships, which also means that more and more kids attend this church.\r \r There are too many missions and outreach projects to name in this space, but the new website explains all of the wonderful things that St. Mark's is doing in the community.\r

This is one of the friendliest churches I've ever seen. They try to reach out to everyone. Every night the church is hosting something, whether it's classes for it's members or hosting scout troops. They're emphasis on ministry is incredible. This church does everything from delivering meals to shut ins (Meals on Wheels) to helping support missions in Haiti. It is a perfect mixture of home based and foreign based ministries and it has an opportunity for everyone to serve in some capacity if they want to. Except for the summer they offer a contemporary service and a traditional service. During the summer they alternate between traditional and contemporary services so if you don't like one you can go to the other. The sermons are extremely relevant to everyday life and the emphasis on church is on applying the principles in day to day life not delving into dry theology. Furthermore the church has a positive atmosphere. The church stresses what it can do to help the world. It doesn't create a list of do's and don'ts to burden the individual with guilt. Extremely family oriented and nonjudgmental it is a great place for anyone who seeks to live the Christian life during the entire week instead of just going to church on Sunday.
27.South Raleigh Bible Church
8616 Ten Ten Rd
Christian ChurchesNon-Denominational ChurchesIndependent Bible ChurchesChurches & Places of Worship
I've been at South Raleigh Bible Church for the past 8 years. It's a small congregation, but if you really hunger for expository Bible Teaching, commitment to solid doctrine, and and close friends that also want to know the Word and live for God in their daily lives than this is the church for you. There are also small group bible studies for men, women and youth. Nursery is provided for ages up to 5 during morning worship services and midweek Bible study. The church isn't legalistic and you can come in dress clothes or jeans, just make sure you bring a Bible because you'll be using it! The sermons are usually around 40 minutes long...studying carefully the Word of God, not stories and light entertainment. Worship music is new hymns and choruses led on piano...Keith and Krysten Getty's music is a favorite. The church is not racially prejudiced and there are a variety of nationality groups and people who have moved here from all around the United States at the church. Our pastor, graduated from the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, CA where John MacArthur is president. Pastor David has a heart for getting to know & disciple the men in his congregation and makes a point to spend time with them regularly. Another plus is that the church is easily accessible, only about 20 minutes, from a number of smaller communities, Garner, Fuquay Varina, Willow Spring, Apex, Holly Springs and Cary.
28.Open Door Church
9801 Durant Rd
Baptist ChurchesChurches & Places of WorshipGeneral Baptist Churches
I cannot say enough about Open Door. Their staff loves Christ, the preaching is expository (line-by-line verse-by-verse) and the fellowship is a delight. Sunday morning consist of ABF (basically Sunday school) where they have been teaching through the entire Bible on a five-year plan. Once the teaching is complete, you break into small groups to discuss the application of the teaching. These small groups meet outside of the church building to do life together. There is also a fantastic Sunday night discipleship ministry where topics from parenting, marriage, how to change… are taught. If you are looking for a healthy Church that loves Christ and his word…then look no further :-) \r
