Extremely disappointed and let down by the service. I had a tiny crack, not even the size of a quarter on my front windshield and as he began using his tools to fix it he turns away from me and begins shaking his head, low and behold he made the crack ten times worse than what it already was. Not only this, he admitted to me that this was not the first cracked windshield TODAY that he made worse and that he "felt bad". Shortly after, he tells me that I will have to pay almost 500 dollars to REPLACE the entire windshield after the holy mess he had made. So basically my insurance paid for a man to come out and make the crack on my windshield worse only to end up having to replace it and pay out of pocket for it in the end. I DO NOT recommend you use the Safelite here in Raleigh, might as well buy your own new windshield, you'll have to anyway. And yes, it is understood that I had to sign a piece of paper before the mobile technician could work on my windshield but at the same time it's your duty as someone who is considered as a "technician" to help me understand how often and just how much I would be paying if you had cracked the glass the way you did. Do NOT visit this place for small cracks and repairs unless you want a new windshield.

Very disappointed! We had a our windshield installed by their mobile service. A week later it leaked and soaked the interior. Their response was to have me wait 4 days for a mobile appt. or bring it to their shop on the other side of town the next day. With impending rain, and a soaked interior, we went to the shop that day to have them resolve the problem. After sitting there for 2 hours, I asked how much longer we would have to wait , only to get a rude, snappy response from the technician, that " it is a 1.5-2hr process and I still had 30 mins to go, I stated it was my second time waiting for this to be done, and he snapped, well I didn't do it last time. Way to treat an already disgruntled customer! I would give 1/2 star if I could

Apparently the word appointment has no meaning at this place. 10:30 appointment and at 12:15 they still hadn't even take my vehicle in. If you don't mind waiting all day, they're the ones for you!

Excellent Service. They returned my call promptly, Lawrence came when he said he'd come, and performed the repair effectively. Honest and to the point. Money well spent.
Tips & Advices
Many companies, both local and nationwide, specialize in automotive glass repair and replacements. Drivers should contact their insurance companies to find glass or auto repair shops in their network.
Windshield damage from anything other than a vehicle collision (including vandalism, storms, fires, and animals) is often covered by optional comprehensive coverage. Drivers should keep in mind that some plans only cover the side and back windows but not the front windshield. Without coverage, drivers must pay the entire cost of repairs or replacements.
Small windshield repairs can be finished in 30 minutes, while windshield replacements take about an hour.
The adhesives used in windshields need at least one hour to cure, so drivers must wait before getting back on the road.  Similarly, drivers should wait at least 24 hours after a windshield repair or replacement before washing their cars. The water and chemicals in the soap can weaken the adhesive. Because of the additional pressure involved, drivers should wait three days after repairs or replacements before going through an automated car wash.
Replacing a windshield costs between $150 and $300 on average.
