After dealing with various UPS persons over the phone and jamie from customer service I have to say they did everything they could, and UPS can kiss my a$$.It turns out that UPS hires retarded drivers and that it's at their descretion whether or not to leave a box at a residence. This might be okay if I lived in suburbia, but I don't! I live in a less than desirable neighborhood with addicts that steal anything left out in public spaces.I received e-mail notification from the other day with an apology and offer of options--I decided to go with a refund since the shirts I wanted aren't available any longer. Thanks to absolute for taking care of a messy situation by communicating with UPS.***july 13: place order for four shirts onlinejuly 16: order finally gets assembledjuly 17: order arrives at UPS warehouseaugust 2: supposed delivery dateaugust 3: delivered to apartment building "porch" by crackhead UPS carrierDec 5: I call my building manager to find out if she picked it up or knew if other tenant did. NADA. I call UPS and they tell me same crapI know from internet tracking information. I e-mail absolute to inquire about investigation into UPS' delivery service through them.... next I'm writing my scathing review for crackhead UPS carrier ignoring THREE SIGNS at front gate clearly indicating:"DO NOT leave packages on porch or at door. ONLY hand over packages to addressee. Signed, Manager"It took a week for the tracking number to register on their website. They only have e-mail correspondence for so-called customer service. NO PHONE NUMBER. F*cking ridiculous. It takes them at least 3 days to get back to you.Their e-mail doesn't not work if you happen to have an AOL e-mail account. *start sarcasm* But gee, no one has AOL so I guess we won't worry about that! *end sarcasm* (Thank goodness for the employee with the sense to CC an e-mail to me via their PERSONAL hotmail account. THAT'S customer service.*hahRUMPH!* I ordered a shirt for my boyfriend (as a surprise). I found out from said hotmail e-mail that the website/stock numbers were incorrect and they didn't have anymore. CRAP! That was the whole point in ordering from them. REDEEMING POINT: they refunded me and offered a $5 gift certificate for other merchandise.
It's nice seeing the store because sometimes depending on the design of the shirt is how the shirt will run size wise. It really isn't a standard size thing all the time, and on their site shipping back and fourth for exchanges and all of that is free, so it's not a big hassle, but nobody really wants to go through a hassle to begin with. What I like about this location:It's quiet, isn't busy during the week in the afternoon, easy access dressing room, easy to find everything as well as a TV with the cheesy picture of the guy/girly models wearing the shirt that's stacked on the shelves below it, chick on staff wasn't intrusive while we were shopping, bi-level, 'last week's tees' are upstairs as well as the hoodies and baby-gear. Oh! Under the bench by the stairs they also have free doggie treats in a secret little fish bowl! What I wish was different:MORE! I was hoping when I stopped in yesterday that I'd be finding the new Muppet Collection but was bummed when I saw a bunch of this and that. It is kind of a tight (hip) space for any store, and they manage to make wise use of their space in terms of what they do have in the store, but I wish that their selection extended further upstairs with the shelves the way they're all set up on the base level. Even the selection of baby gear was kind of disappointing. They split it up easy to find with the infant clothes on the table (shirts and onesies') but there were only about 5 or 6 designs to choose from. It was more of a bummer when you'd look at the kids clothes for toddlers etc. getting a little older and seeing a design you WISH was on the baby table!Overall though, there's no going wrong with buying and shopping in means immediate gratification, testable size and no shipping fee. Just don't get your hopes TOO high about what they may or may not have in the day you visit.
My entire summer wardrobe is made of funny T shirts and cut off jeans. Imaginative? Not really. Stylish? Absolutely not. But at least I'm not wearing an overpriced Urban Outfitters shirt or Old Navy crap that will disintegrate apart in a month.Sure, the shipping can be extremely slow. What do you expect when they have a $10 sale and we all go running to place orders? My big complaint is the sizing. Mine are all the same size but some have shrunk down and others are fine. Are they not prewashed? I think the women's shirts are from American Apparel and, not having shopped there before, I'm clueless as to how the sizing works for women.I LOVE me some tees! I got worried several months ago after a horrible, wretched experience where it took my package more than a month to get to me Shortly after that, they changed shippers, and from what I can tell, they got their stuff worked out. So I recently ordered again and decided I wanted to exchange one of the shirts.I hopped on there site and shipped it back. Although the customer service wasn't exactly the friendliest (it wasn't rude or anything, just really ... devoid of personality ... sort of like talking to a wet mop), it was quick and easy.
Some very fun shirts at decent prices. Service staff seems unfriendly For such a fun place, The http://absolutet-shirts.com website is great though Now, I'm not one for printed shirts typically, or at least I am extremely picky. Too many of the printed shirts at big name stores are just stupid and not unique in any way. So, I never got them. Now, WHY do I LOVE absolute? Because they have unique designs, shirts that can be witty and clever and shirts that just reference fun things in life. And if I don't find a shirt I like, I just wait a bit and see whats out in the next few weeks! And even better, the designers are not people paid to churn out ideas, they are people who work hard and are chosen because of their great creativity. The hoodies are a bit expensive, but I'm not getting a ton of those anyways. The shirts are at great prices and is a place I would prefer over anyone else for printed t-shirts, and thats a big deal for me.As long as i'm buying online I'll be on their website. But I certainly prefer the ability to see the printed shirt before I buy it.
I have been a huge fan of funny shirts for a while now, because after my Abercrombie & Fitch phase, I realized I no longer wanted to be a walking billboard for an overpriced, cookie-cutter-preppy clothing company that doesn't even use Asian American models because we don't fit their "standard of beauty." WTF is that crap, seriously? So anyway, they stepped up to the plate and filled my t-shirt void perfectly. Cute shirts, artistic shirts, random shirts, anything you're in the mood for really - you'll probably find it. When I heard that there was an *actual* store, I just had to visit. They didn't actually have that many shirts inside, which was slightly disappointing, but it was nice to be able to see what some of the shirts looked like in person before actually buying them. I found a super cute dinosaur t-shirt that is now in my current rotation of spring t-shirts.Advice: sign up for emails and be on the look-out when they have sales... $5-10 for unique t-shirts? Brilliant!
The concept of this place is awesome with the art and t-shirts and seems to be working, but I have to say I was looking at their collection online on a day I had some spare time obviously and just went pages and pages back. I found like a total of 3 shirts that I liked, which none were available because they were all older styles.I have always liked random t-shirts with random sayings or pictures on them, not "oh that's ironic" ..but more so sayings or pictures that pertain to my life someway. Music, records..etc.I bought a shirt yesterday which I am sure I will see like 10 other people wearing in the neighborhood because it was in the window and they are having the 9 dollar sale. The one I bought I really liked and even wore it to Smartbar last night. It is only the 2ND shirt that I've ever bought there. The first one I gave to my friend since it was an impulse buy and I never wore it.
Was a little skeptical at first reading few reviews about long shipping time but order arrived just fine took about 5 days including over the weekend so it was shipped out quick since post doesn't move on sunday Was satisfied with the quality it was nice 100% preshrunk cotton so nothing to flimsy but not some thick heavy weight t-shirt. Biggest selling point to me besides the funny designs was the fact that most shirts are only $9 bucks and shipping on one shirt is only $2.95 so all in all it was a good experience finding there site and will shop again especially with Christmas coming up
my experience with this company was passable to say the best I got a payment receipt email right away and then it took almost week to get the shipping conformation email the shipping was first class mail so that added an extra couple days till I got my package. The shirts are alright quality just your generic hanes the sizing on them was kinda odd so at least they did accept the return package and then i had to wait again for the new shirts. It did take a while to finally get my shirts that fitted but in the end after all the delays I did get my products.. !@#$%^&
I Love Absolute Tee's,I have been purchasing their shirts online for over a year now and their quality of the shirts used to be great. Recently i have found that the white colored shirts have dropped in quality. It really sucks because i really love the idea behind Absolute T-shirts and the idea of supporting independent artists, but i now have to base my purchase decisions on color of the shirt rather than designs I like. Again, I love the designs, I love the concept but they need to start using high quality white shirts like they used to.
i've ordered one too many shirts from this place. but it's fun...and addicting. yes, orders can take some time during the really busy seasons. (actually, it seems these guys are getting busier by the minute.)I really like the fact that you can earn points towards more shirts (i.e. FREE MONEY) by submitting photos of you wearing the shirts! How simple is that?Only problem is, i don't wear them as often anymore...feel like I'm kind of outgrowing the novelty factor, and am maybe too old to wear a lot of the designs.
