My husband got stuck in Boston 11/24/14 on my birthday. Since he had planned a special night he was very upset about the situation. We live in North Providence, RI and the car had to be towed. He waited 90 mins for the tow truck to arrive. We needed to revise our reservation. Once hooked up the driver got my husband and the car back to RI safe & sound in time for us to enjoy my birthday. Great Service, friendly and polite people & very professional. Thank you for saving a very special night to my husband. Deborah R.

This AAA office is so cool to work with. They are all pleasant, polite, engaging and efficient. Over the last few weeks I've visited the Travel Agents for help w/a trip to Italy where they answered all my questions and booked me rental car in Rome. I visited member services (twice) to purchase Euro and each time anyone I encountered was very helpful. I enjoy doing business here and the fact that they do DMV - AWESOME!!! Thanks guys! :)

After many different decisions from my wife we as a family decided to go to disney world. I called AAA travel services in Providence and dealt with Mia. From beginning to end she was very helpful and assisted me with my many decision changes until I finally found an option I wanted. She was very patient and helpful and would definitely book with AAA with all my future vacations. Many thanks AAA and most importantly Mia.

On a day [July 3rd] where AAA's DMV service was inundated with a plethora of individuals, they managed to get my matters resolved within 20 minutes. As I approached the service desk, the lady assisting me was very apologetic for not being able to assist in a timely manner [I had my 8 year old & 5 year old niece w/ me as well]. She was also very polite and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend everyone go there.

I've been a member for the past 4 years. It always pays itself off. Last call came after midnight, I got a flat coming off the highway. Called AAA, and the service man on the field came out within 30 minutes of my call. In fact, 3 service attendants came out and they all helped change out my flat and put everything back. It's every bit worth it and more!!! Thank you!!

When city hall told me I needed to change my address on both my license / registration within an hour I quickly ran over to AAA and they took care of me quickly. The employees were amazing, helpful and quick to get me what I needed without any issue! Have also booked trips through this location and truly helped us in any way they could!

renewed driver's license easily - all done in about 15 minutes with minimum of fuss. yay! a great alternative to spending time @ DMV where sometimes we regret not having snacks & a pillow. Also got good advice re upcoming travel plans. To me, AAA membership is well worth the price.

I went in for help with auto registration. They were courteous, fast and extremely helpful (I had no idea which information I needed and I was told that they were there to help as much as they could). I recommend their services.

I ordered my 4-day discounted Disney passes through AAA. It was easy to do. Although it indicated they would be sent in 5-10 days, our passes arrived surprisingly quickly. I would recommend using AAA for your passes.
Tips & Advices
By law, you need to be insured up to the minimum amount required in your state before getting behind the wheel of any car. Beyond that, your insurance needs will vary depending on your financial situation and the amount of risk you are willing to take on.
  • Full or comprehensive car insurance is the most expensive, but often the best deal for drivers who own an expensive car, those who commute frequently or anyone who lives in an area with extreme weather or high crime rates.
  • Drivers of less expensive or older cars usually save more by opting for the minimum required policy, along with some extra coverage if they can afford it. Since the cost of repairs might exceed the total value of an older vehicle, some owners forgo collision protection in favor of greater liability coverage or personal injury coverage.
If someone other than you causes an accident while driving your car, most insurance policies will still pay for damage, according to the rules that apply. However, it’s a good idea to check with the insurance provider to be sure this is the case. Regardless, either the at-fault driver or the actual policyholder will be responsible for paying for anything not covered by insurance. People who don’t own a car but frequently borrow or rent one might consider purchasing a non-owner policy to make up the difference.
Car insurance premiums might be tax deductible in certain situations, but only with the documentation to prove it. Insurance costs may be deducted as part of overall business expenses if you use that car for work-related travel. However, this does not generally apply to taxpayers who use the standard deduction when filing their income tax returns. If your car is used for business purposes often, save all insurance-related documentation, as well as receipts, invoices and other forms of proof that your vehicle expenses were for business purposes.
Car insurers set premium prices depending on every driver’s individual risk. A huge number of details are factored into every determination of insurance risk, so the cost of any two policies can vary widely depending on the driver’s personal attributes, accident history, location, vehicle type and much more. The type of coverage you choose also impacts what you pay - premiums for minimal liability coverage will almost always be lower than those of a universal coverage policy.
The cost of car insurance is highly variable, but according to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, U.S. motorists pay around $900 per year on auto insurance.
