Canyon Auto & Truck Repair
I was traveling through Prescott on vacation and my tow vehicle broke down on Friday late afternoon. Ben, at Canyon Auto, was gracious enough to take a look at my vehicle before closing shop. These guys did a great job identifying the issues with my vehicle and went above and beyond researching the the problem. I would definitely go back to Canyon Auto if I were ever to have another problem traveling through Prescott. From Bob Munger

Canyon Auto & Truck Repair
I brought my VW Jetta to Canyon Auto. I specifically asked if they were certified to service my vehicle being that it's a European car. The manager, Corey, said YES. Turned out that was a lie. They said I just need some new breaks. I agreed for Canyon to fix them Paid the bill $350 & left. 2 weeks later I hear my breaks and they are LOUDER than before. I bring my VW back and speak with Corey again. He looks at it & 3 HOURS LATER tells me my breaks are no good. I immediately question him, asking why there's ANY problems with my breaks when I just paid hundreds for NEW ones?? I requested he return my car to my possession. I contact Volkswagen, get a referral to an actual CERTIFIED VW mechanic. They report back that Canyon Auto DAMAGED my rotors and I need ALL NEW again. They also put INCORRECT PARTS. I requested a full refund from Canyon PROMISING 2 bring in proof/invoice of new services & Corey hung up on me refused to answer my calls afterwards. I've had ZERO contact with them since.

Car Care By Bob Mezeske
bad business. UNPROFESSIONAL, bad attitude by the owner. I had an appointment at 9:00 am. I dropped my car off and came back 4 1/2 hours later and they never touched it. They said they had to work on some other cars!! So why didn't they tell me they were to busy to work on my car that day! Why waste my time making an appointment; When they had no intention of working on my car???It cost me $17.00 for the cab. Never tried to make it right. Didn't care!!!

H & F Foreign Auto Repair
I needed my water pump replaced and some stripped threads tapped, so on a recommendation I looked up H&F Foreign Auto Repair. Called on a Monday to make an appointment. Frank said he would have time on Wednesday to do the job so I dropped off the car early that morning and waited for the call I was told to expect. It was finally ready Friday evening. When they handed me the bill, WOW! sticker shock! Almost $300. I've seen other reviews that say his prices are reasonable. And I even supplied all the parts, except the bolts. What did I do wrong? Two weeks and maybe 30 miles later - low and behold the water pump was leaking. Almost half a gallon of coolant had leaked out by the time I noticed. Took the car in again and with barely enough time to get back home received a phone call that there was nothing wrong. When I picked up the car, I said 'I hope that water pump doesn't leave me stranded with my two kids in the back seat.' Apparently Frank didn't like that because his response was 'you can fix it.'After the amount of money I paid him... Grrr. In the end, I had to reinstall it correctly myself. Boo. I paid a lot to fix some stripped threads.Apparently Frank doesn't stand behind his work.

Car Care By Bob Mezeske
Recently I drove down from Flagstaff to visit my parents in P-town. I started to have an issue with my temperature running abnormally high. I took my truck to CCBB because they were the only mechanic willing to get me in so close to closing time. They determined that the problem was just a bad radiator cap. $17.21 was my total bill. The man who I dealt with regarding my truck was straight forward and direct. Two guys spent roughly 30 minutes diagnosing my truck and sent me on my way with a bill that made me feel guilty for paying so little. THAT is good honest service.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
