Cable ONE
I have been a Cable One subscriber for over 22 years...and I hate to say it but their staff always seems to be unfriendly and grumpy...I recently had left the state for 3 weeks and over looked paying my cable bill...I paid all my other utilities, but for some reason (old age) I was sure I paid the cable...anyway, when I returned home the next morning I'm watching tv and it goes off the air...I call, ask what the issue is and they let me know that my bill was over-due and it's been disconnected...I apologized and took full responsibility for the oversight...They required the past due paid in full, $90 reconnect fee, $65 monthly fee in advance, $25 deposit and the pro-rate monthly balance of $35!!!! That was over $300!!! Who has that kind of money for a CABLE BILL!!!! I couldn't believe it! I asked if they could possibly waive any of the fee's...No! Could I pay the reconnect fee in 2 payments? No! Even after all my years of service with Cable one, I could not believe they had no other options to assist a customer to at least try to keep their service....The customer service tech said she was sorry and that was the end of the conversation...I have heard that Direct Tv is doing well in my area and will seek their service as soon as I can...
