YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

With all of the negative comments, I too was skeptical at adopting from Main Line Rescue. You need to understand, they are an organization with rules. Most people don't like rules, and I think this is why people write negative comments. I had no problem with Bill, he is a nice person who is passionate about animals. Before you choose a dog from their website, read their contract carefully. This way you won't be upset if they tell you, you cannot adopt. I carefully read their Website. I completed the application form, I then received an interview call with Jodi, where I spoke with her 2 times, and within one week, she scheduled my appointment to see the dog and also his caretaker. We spent an hour with the dog learning about his habits, etc. and also to see if we were a good match with the dog. Bill and the caretaker then told us we could go ahead with the adoption process. The next day, the dog was delivered to us by the caretaker. What more can you ask for? If you're in a big rush to adopt, first try the SPCA in your area. If you don't mind going through a couple of phone interviews and Filling-out forms, then this is the place to go. It is an absolutely, amazing place.

Knows the breed well, and seems responsible when placing a dog with an appropriate home. If you aren't selected for a dog its most likely for a good reason.

My wife and I recently adopted a dog from this shelter and the experience was great! I've been to other shelters where their priorities aren't giving the dogs homes but this shelter was very happy to see a dog go home with us. The staff was great and even stared to tear up with excitement when we decided to adopt one of their dogs. The experience here was great! I strongly recommend this shelter! This shelter genuinely cares about giving animals a better life. I will definitely be supporting this shelter.
