Salon Ninetynine
I have been seeing Ali Harris (at Salon Ninetynine) for 6 years - And I absolutely LOVE her! I am very picky with my hair and Ali is the first stylist to earn my trust and long-term loyalty.  If you are trying to grow your hair out or have slow growing hair, Ali is your girl! She will never cut itshorter than you ask. Some stylist are scissor happy and chop the length off to THEIR preference, not YOURS. But Ali always listens and delivers EXACTLY what I ask for. Even when I'm not sure what I want, she helps me figure it out and brings my vague visions to life. I've used her for everything... Cuts, Color, highlights, balayage, and color correcting (after my many at-home dye disasters.) She's found ways to save my hair I thought I'd surely ruined. And she's taught me a lot to keep me from making more mistakes at home... Score! I've had stylists that are great with hair, but not-so-great with people... Ali is talented with both, so my salon experience is always positive. I feel completely at ease around her! The conversation has never been awkward. My time in the chair always flies by. I genuinely enjoy visiting with her and look forward to my appointments! And best of all - Ali is more than good at her job, she's a really good person in general... Friendly, considerate, caring, humble, hard-working, respectful, dependable, smart, level-headed, and honest. She has so much integrity, I could easily trust her with a key to my house and the PIN to my bank account. As a paying customer, it feels great to give my business to such a high-quality professional with upstanding character. Kevin is amazing, too! He's never done my hair, but I have seen a lot of his work -And WOW... He is a legit artist! I highly reccommend him as well :)

St John's Auto Center
I needed an oil change for my Corvette. Needs special oil and filter. Spoke with José and he allowed me to bring my own special Mobil One oil and a factory filter and he just charged me a bare minimum to do the work on his lift. VERY nice guy, understanding and HONEST as can be. Thanks Jose, I appreciate YOU.

Terrell Brandon Barber Shop
My child went for a haircut and caught hair fungus all over the back of his head due to the barbers clippers not being cleaned. He cries every night and was in and out of the doctors office for two weeks with fever, nautiousness and other side effects from this hair fungus, he has knots on the side of his head and up a and down his neck because his body is trying hard to fight the infection. My heart hurts for my little man and he does not want to go back to TB or get his haircut. Medicine and prayer is what is helping my sons scalp heal. I have a feeling this was done on purpose to my son, but I pray for the barbers sake this was not. I am so frustrated because I was not told of how they were going to rectify this problem so that it never happened again. I was a regular customer until now. I wish I never went to TB Barbershop. I can't speak for the service they give to other customers but this experience has turned me off from them completely. My warning to potential clients or other customer's, make sure you see the barber sanitize/disinfect his clippers before he cuts your head with them and does the same to any other clippers he may borrow from his associate.

HORRIBLE!!!! Because the business has been around forever, you think you'd get good service. This would have been written two years ago (2014) but I only found their mistake this past November. In short: I took them my leaf blower to be repaired in Oct 2014. The counter guy, who barely could muster any energy (besides wipe his mouth while he ate a sandwich in front of me) took the blower & gave it a repair order. A day or two later, Mr. Sandwich calls me and tells me it's shot. Something to do with the intake. Can't fix it, would cost too much. Oh, & I paid $25 for this expertise. This is a $189 loss for me. I buy a new one online the same day. The broken one sat on my garage shelf for two years....until I changed the spark plug and air filter in Nov 2016 (a friend told me to try) PRESTO! With the same old gas, it fired up! Thanks Roy-Boy, for your complete incompetence. To everyone else, avoid this place like all get-out. P.S-- I still have the service tag from them on the blower they couldn't "fix." Tony in Sherwood, Oregon
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
