Oren Painting
Ran and his crew painted our house the first week of September. I received several bids and Oren Painting was the one I chose. They were a pleasure to work with and obviously wanted us to be very pleased with their work, which we were! I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. They did excellent work and were very attentive to anything I pointed out and answered any questions I had. They also replaced two sheets of siding and corrected some dry rot under our deck as part of the job. The repair looks so good that it is hard to see where it was. Due to the size of his crew, they painted the whole house in one day.He had two crewmembers come to pressure wash the entire house the day before he painted. They did a wonderful job preparing our garage doors (a lot of scraping) and they look much better than they did after the paint job 10 years ago. We decided to use the same color that we used over 10 years ago and so Ran had to match it from a paint sample card. He matched the color we wanted for our house perfectly. Even though our front door was originally going to match the trim, on the day he came to paint, we decided to paint the door a different color. He said it was no problem. We selected a color and they matched it and painted our door.Ran told me how to get the colors used to paint our house from any Miller Paint store by the job name any time we want. He told me to contact him if anything doesn’t meet with my approval, which I did. He came back the next day to address a few areas I felt needed a touch up. Frank and Orlando came and took care of everything I mentioned to Ran. Great company to work with and would gladly call them without getting a bid for any future work I might have.

Gresham Painting
Larry, from Gresham Painting is WONDERFUL!!! I can't state my appreciation enough! We were in the process of selling our house and under a time crunch to have the exterior painting completed after new siding was installed. Even though it was late in the year for the painting season (Mid-November), it was raining frequently and the nights were getting colder, Larry was able to complete the work for us when other contractors could not. He even worked around the schedules of the siding installers to do what he could when he could. He did an outstanding job and I gave him a garage door opener to keep until he was done as I trusted him thoroughly. He was also able to assist with fixing a couple broken drain pipes and spray bleach on some mildew discovered in the attic during the home inpections. Larry is very accomodating and does wonderful, top-notch work! I am a very detailed picky person as well and I was very satisfied. I would highly recommend him and Gresham Painting - mainly for painting as that's what he specializes in, but he is very handy at taking care of other home repair issues as well! Thank you Larry and Gresham Painting!!! Steve.

River City Painting
Saturday morning at 6:30 AM my painters arrived to finish painting the exterior of the house...that is after leaving last night at 9:30 working by hand held lights. The house looks inviting and the paint crew - Frank's - did an out standing job. Everything was picked and cleaned up. If you are looking to have the exterior of your house painted or the interior call River City Painting.I recommend River City Painting. They were my best bid and I will definitely have them do any other painting that needs to be done. So, the year of the house progresses. The new garage door is working perfectly. Much quieter than the old one. The exterior of the house is freshly painted. It looks the same, only different.

Gresham Painting
Larry, with Gresham Painting, was a pleasue to work with. I had him repaint my exterior on a two story house. Was not included, but he filled most all nail holes on my siding before painting at no cost. I furnished the paint and when I was short, he purchase the paint needed to finish. He did a wonerful job, completed on our schedule and on time as agreed. I also, after two weeks, decided to change my trim color from origional painting to new color, and Larry completed it within the week. I highly recommend Gresham Painting for you painting needs! Best Contractors
Martin Howard owns Best Contractors LLC and he is a kind, resourceful, honest general contractor. We've hired him to paint our houses, power wash our drive way and to do moss removal on our roof. Best Contractor's specialty is house painting and commercial painting but they also do small repairs and can fix thing like siding and dry rot. I like that they are reliable -- they do good work and charge fair prices. A good house painter is hard to find, and we're glad we found Martin!

Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
