I am so happy that I found Kim! She is incredibly talented and caring woman. I have acupuncture before but never seen results as quickly as I did with Kim. She takes the time to go over EVERYTHING that could be going on with your body. The intake information let me know that she was really serious about helping me. She's got an amazing touch and made me feel at ease instantly.
The space is warm and inviting and extremely quiet so that I could relax fully. I have never had a problem with getting in for my weekly visit. Even better, I can schedule online! This is so convenient, especially because it sends you an email reminder.
If you are considering giving acupuncture a try, I highly recommend you try Kim!
I've been seeing Kim weekly since October of 2007, my first acupuncture experience.
Kim helped me get through the winter without being cold for the first time in years. Usually a few times in winter I get so chilled that a hot shower is the only remedy, but not this winter. She also provided amazing stress relief when I was facing losing a loved one, allowing me to focus on what needed to be done instead of just freaking out. She listens and has a fantastic healing presence.
One of the things I really appreciated is when a bunch of viruses were going around, Kim told me to call her if I even thought I was getting sick so she could treat me before I did. I never took her up on it because... I haven't been sick once since I started seeing her; not one cold, even when nearly everyone I knew had one.
My treatments are virtually pain free -- the occasional needle stings for a few seconds, but the whole process is much more pleasurable than I'd anticipated. Her office is soothing and pretty, parking is great, and so far she's never kept me waiting.
I recently had several reasons to try acupuncture and Chinese massage for the first time. I've been low-energy for several months and generally been in a bad mood most of the time. Several friends told me that acupuncture can help with these issues (as well as other ailments like allergies). I decided to visit Kim Knight at Tensegrity Health Acupuncture, and it was a great experience.
The first thing I liked about Kim was that she was easy to talk to. She was friendly, attentive, and interested in developing a treatment plan focused on the problems that had been bothering me. Her intake process was valuable in helping me identify the main issues from the past few months. The process also made me more aware of the connections between different experiences (sleep patterns, appetite, etc.) and how they may relate to what's bothering me.
The acupuncture part of the session felt gentle and skilled. Each point that was stimulated felt like a dull ache, but the sensations were never too intense. This part of the session turned out to be quite relaxing, and I think I fell asleep for a few minutes. Kim also used the acupuncture needles to relieve a few areas of muscle tension in my shoulders and upper neck. It surprised me how quickly the muscles released their tension with this treatment.
Kim also made use of Chinese massage techniques to further relieve muscle soreness. The active nature of the massage work was a pleasant counterpoint to the stillness of the acupuncture. I have been back to Kim for a second session and continue to be impressed with her knowledge and technique. My energy level has been higher, and I've found myself in better moods much of the time and with enthusiasm that did not exist before.
