5.Extended Stay America Portland - Tigard
13009 SW 68th Pkwy
Friendly staff and reasonably clean rooms. Beds are hard, too springy, and don't have fitted sheets so they come unmade during the night. The kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher, so you're not too convinced that the prior tenant washed the dishes sufficiently. There were only two plates, forks and mugs in my room. No glasses at all.

I had a wonderful experience at Uniquely You. All of the consultants were very knowledgeable on the styles of their dresses. My consultant was very helpful and picked out beautiful dresses that I would had never picked for myself. The entire process was stress-free and I was able to enjoy myself! I would suggest Uniquely You to all of my friends and family.
7.Heathman Hotel Portland OR
1001 SW Broadway
My good friend and I found a really comfy booth next to a real fireplace and had the best happy hour that I had in a long time. The Malbec was really great, she had the house white that was the happy hour special.\r \r We had the cheese plate for a starter that came with a marmalade and an assortment of nuts...was superb!\r \r After that we had the ""snails and frog legs"" I was not sure what to expect but they were expertly prepared and absolutely wonderful.\r \r Everything about this happy hour venue is perfect. The ambience, the menu, and the service was just great. Thanks Heathman.

16.The Benson, a Coast Hotel
309 SW Broadway
Categorically the best lobby in Portland. Old world style: wood paneling, chandeliers, a grand staircase overlooking plush sofas and lovely carpets. I sit by the fire when it's cold and you can get cocktail service there. Even though I live here, I take a staycation in their lobby at least once a month. Fun place to meet a date or family. Rooms are well-appointed, but not as special as the lobby.
614 SW 11th Ave
The finest accommodations we have enjoyed in several years. Upon arrival we were whisked to the reservation desk and in less than five minutes were sitting comfortably in our room. The view was magnificent and the room spotless. There is nothing you could possibly desire that the hotel staff were unable to provide, and do so with a friendly smile and create a feeling that you request is of absolute importance. There are several small quaint eateries close by with every possible food type known to exist. Those we frequented were absolutely wonderful. Access to transportation is fantastic. The street car is directly out the front door and the ""metro"" train one block away. These rides are free within ""Freedom Square"" (the majority of everything within a 20 to 30 blocks in every direction). Of course the helpfulness of the people of Portland cannot be overlooked...anytime we had a question or a request for directions they were ready and able to offer friendly advice. The Hotel will also arrange for a rental car, provide brochures for tours (and recommend some of the best spots to visit), and do anything to make your stay memorable. We have visited 20 major cities in the past five or so years and normally choose Hilton, Marriott or such...yet our stay at The Governor has by far been the most memorable. I cannot think of a more enjoyable vacation visit than here. Give yourself a gift, stay a few days at The Governor...you'll love it!
515 SW Clay St
I've stayed here for biz several times now. Wonderful, top-notch experience. I am a real person with no affiliation with this hotel. I know no one who works here personally .\r \r Something is very suspicious with previous reviews. All 5's and 1's? Looks like a competitor or disgruntled employee is sabotaging. It doesn't add up.\r \r I assure you that for EVERY one of my visits the room has been excellent (to the smallest detail!). Super comfy-bed and pillows, fur-like throw, Minibar, fridge, flat screen tv, etc...\r \r The Valets, doormen and front desk staff have been crazy nice - and knowledgeable. Attached restaurant is delicious with a good variety of 'slightly unusual' and 'extra fancy' versions of salads, cheeses, meat and pasta dishes. (although a tad too pricey, I felt)\r \r I LOVE this hotel - not the run-of-the-mill, boring Marriott decor. It has a personality all its own. Rooms are not huge... but again, each one I've stayed was FRESH and CLEAN and showed thoughtful touches. \r \r One reviewer was upset they didn't allow dogs. Hello, you can tell the second you walk in this is not place for for fido and fluffy. Go find a Best Western. As a business traveler I appreciate that the place is CLEAN.\r \r I'm shocked (and again, very suspicious) of the 1 star reviews. Seriously - not possible at this place. \r Valerie Champagne, Olympia WA
19.McMenamins White Eagle Saloon & Hotel
836 N Russell St
Just went for our first time last Saturday and really enjoyed it. It was the first time for belly dancing there and we were really glad we got to see them perform. Each dancer was awesome, unique and fun to watch. We liked that they really got the crowd involved. Very cool! We really enjoyed the drummer and guitar player that started it all off, great music guys! Really a fun place to relax and see something different - we could tell the performers were having as much fun as we were.... oh and we liked the food and good prices too. Will definitely be going back and taking our friends with us.

21.The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland
525 SW Morrison St
We stayed one night at the Nines off of a sharing spree. It was such a GREAT deal and fun treat to be downtown. The food was phenomenal - we were not expecting the quantity and quality of food on the concierge level - which came with the sharing spree. It was so god. The rooms are small but all you need and very clean!!
22.Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown
319 SW Pine St
A loyal Hilton customer & frequent traveler; stayed at many full & limited service hotels. This E.S. is the nicest ever. Not your typical Embassy. The pool, fitness area, and breakfast areas are all tucked away in other spacious areas of the hotel. Elegant, welcoming, peaceful lobby. THIS E.S. is vintage, classy, upscale, and the service is top-notch. Great desk staff, friendly housekeepers & service staff at the breakfast & manager's reception. The complimentary breakfast is over the top...great selection, fresh & hot foods, great presentation. Exceptional value. Restaurant off the lobby isn't very kid friendly, but attentive staff and very good food. The Salon/Spa is right off the lobby and has great services, too. Definitely a must-stay!
23.Red Lion Hotel on the River - Jantzen Beach
909 N Hayden Island Dr
The folks at the Red Lion on the River truly understand the hospitality end of their business. A top notch facility that leaves nothing falling short. We had the pleasure of staying at the hotel the first week in January, 2011 and found it to live BEYOND our expectations. The rooms are large and recently remodeled, the restaurant and bar belong to the property and the STAFF .. just say they never met a guest they didn't like and they live that way.
800 E Burnside St
The people and staff at the hotel were really cool in helping me navigate the best places in the city, than got me there and told me who to talk to. I love those connections without the snobbery.\r \r Rooms ( stayed twice now, once in suite with g-friends) were cute, different. For the price you got a hella lot more than most ""boutique budget hotels"".
719 SE Morrison St
The Morrison Hotel takes it's name from the Doors album - and that it's on Morrison street. The atmosphere is great, exactly what one desires from a SE Portland bar; it's casual and stylish, has a great Jukebox and the bar staff are second to none. The Beer selection is wide, and well chosen, I challenge any afficionado of hops and barley to find a beer they do not love. Owner Chris Joseph, who was a founder of the PDX beer festival, has a passion for beer and this eminates through the selection on offer here. Which brings me to the food. As owner of the Blue Monk, Joseph has already established a reputation for quality and excellence in his menu, and Chef Ryan Gengler (formerly of the Monk) has brought the same high level of passion, creativity, and an astute understanding of what makes food great, to the Morrison Hotel. A good balance of bar snacks and more substantial dinner choices, the highlight of the menu must surely be the Turkish Pizza, for me it was packed full of well blended flavours, and near impossible to put down. I have always been a fan of SE Portland bars, it's true, however the Morrison excels; if you live east of the river and west of the mountains, you simply HAVE to make this your local.

27.Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn
1810 NE 15th Ave
We got there a bit early in the day due to the Amtrak schedule (MN->OR). They were hospitable and accomodating and gave us our room even though checkin wasn't for hours.\r We were treated like family, shown where the snacks are and were invited to relax any where in the house.\r Their restraunt recommendations for dinner were great.\r The room was clean, comfortable and lovely.\r And the breakfasts were fabulous. !\r \r We felt spoiled and pampered on our anniversary trip.
28.MacMaster House Bed & Breakfast Inn
1041 SW Vista Ave
If you what you want is the epitome of Downtown Portland living, The MacMaster House is the place to stay. It is beautiful, comfortable, romantic, wonderfully restored, & they make the most fantastic breakfast as well! My husband & I not only got married there, but had our honeymoon there as well. I would hands down recommend it to anyone looking for a b&b to stay in the downtown area. It is within walking distance of the classic 23rd shopping district, & tons of amazing restaurants. It is nestled right in the hillside, making it surprisingly quiet and peaceful for being in the city. They offer plenty of rooms with private bathrooms, lovely linens and fireplaces complete with a log to burn in most rooms! Christmastime at the MacMaster House is most wonderful with their large Douglas fir alit in the living room! I hope you have as amazing time as we did!
29.Portland's White House
1914 NE 22nd Ave
We stayed here for one night. In town for the Garth Brooks concert. We stayed in the Carolina room, in the carriage house. After checking in, we arrived in or room. We were greeted with fresh baked cookies, chocolates, and bottled water. The main house, is beautifully decorated with antiques through out. The next day, we had an awesome breakfast! Fresh fruit, home made muffins, breakfast quiche, breakfast potatoes, and sausage! You would be foolish to past this place up!
11942 NE Sandy Blvd
Wow! Who would have guessed a small independent motel could offer so much. We just checked out and felt like we got the best deal in town. I wish more business would care for their guests the way this motel does. How refreshing to feel important and cared for. Great Coffee!!!
