My great grandfather who immigrated from Italy helped build St Michael's church in 1901. My last name is engraved in the bottom step. My grandparents, parents, and my generation have been baptized and/or married in the church. I like how the church is so beautiful inside and has stayed with the Roman style. Even though it's a further drive for me, I prefer the intimate feeling of St Michael's.

This is an all inclusive church with a very spiritual, loving and pragmatic way of dealing with it's congregation. The minister is one of the best I've ever heard.

I recently became a full time member of this church. I loved the casual atmosphere and the welcoming spirit that pervades this church. It is small, with less than 200 members, but the worship team is awesome, the people are great and the teaching is sound... I fully recommend trying it out for yourself. 11 am Sundays

I have been to many big churches but always missed the talk of intimacy with spirit that this quaint little church shares each Sunday service. I have had very personal and helpful wise readings as part of their service and always leave feeling God knows us and works through these people here to help us grow more toward love!

I don't really eat a lot of Thai food and I usually stick to the dishes I like. Pa Nang is my all time favorite. When I discovered Chaba Thai I was extremely delighted but the half hour drive was a bit much for every week. Also I noticed that lately the Pa Nang wasn't as good as I first remembered. So I decided to try out something closer and came upon Arawan. Yeah thats not the correct address so I would google before I go. The place is actually pretty looking given the limited space. Its always bustling everytime I go. The Pa Nang actually turned out to be better than Chaba's. All the other stuff I've tried (sorry don't know names) wasn't bad. One of the garlic chicken dishes was actually bland but other than that I've always enjoyed my food here. And it doesn't burn a hole in your pocked. The staff is pretty nice as well. The hotness of the food depends on the chef you get. I've found out that a ""4"" is actually hotter than a ""5"". Maybe its because they think you can't handle a 5 and turn it down but if you like your food spicy, then emphatically stress on that because they will take you lightly.

Churches & Places of Worship
Imago Dei Community meets to worship at Franklin High School at 5405 SE Woodward- on the corner of 52nd and Woodward between Division and Powell. For more information visit their website. \r Their business offices are at 811 East Burnside Suite #223 Portland OR 97214.\r \r Imago Dei Community is a breath of fresh air in GOD's Kingdom. Imago Dei means ""Image of GOD"". In other words, it is a community of GOD Lovers who desire to reflect the heart of GOD in their individual lives. Solid in their belief in GOD's Word they deeply desire to practically live out these truths. The Community at Imago Dei is primarily made up of about 2000+ students, young adults, young married couples with and w/o kids and a few seasoned saints. Imago Dei Community is intensely interested in investing in the community of Portland and in the world. They are constantly trying to assess and meet the needs of the community.\r \r The worship and Bible teaching is fresh and heart felt ... there is nothing fake or ""canned"" here! There is reflective time of communion every week. Pastor Rick McKinley is brilliant, funny and has a heart of gold as he shares practical insights into GOD's Word. Rick has had secular background, so he understands the world, but he eventually ended up at Multnomah School of the Bible and then worked as a Youth Pastor. Later he and a community of believers started a small church in Portland that grew into Imago Dei Community. Imago Dei also is very strong in it's support of ""Home Groups"" that are spread all over the Portland and Vancouver areas. These Home Groups offer a chance for people to build close friendships, while supporting each other and reaching their local communities. \r My Bride and I, with our two college age kids, have been going to Imago Dei Community for almost 7 years. It has been a wonderful place to worship and grow. It is truly a beautiful reflection of GOD's Image.
