My great grandfather who immigrated from Italy helped build St Michael's church in 1901. My last name is engraved in the bottom step. My grandparents, parents, and my generation have been baptized and/or married in the church. I like how the church is so beautiful inside and has stayed with the Roman style. Even though it's a further drive for me, I prefer the intimate feeling of St Michael's.

This is an all inclusive church with a very spiritual, loving and pragmatic way of dealing with it's congregation. The minister is one of the best I've ever heard.

I recently became a full time member of this church. I loved the casual atmosphere and the welcoming spirit that pervades this church. It is small, with less than 200 members, but the worship team is awesome, the people are great and the teaching is sound... I fully recommend trying it out for yourself. 11 am Sundays

I have been to many big churches but always missed the talk of intimacy with spirit that this quaint little church shares each Sunday service. I have had very personal and helpful wise readings as part of their service and always leave feeling God knows us and works through these people here to help us grow more toward love!

I don't really eat a lot of Thai food and I usually stick to the dishes I like. Pa Nang is my all time favorite. When I discovered Chaba Thai I was extremely delighted but the half hour drive was a bit much for every week. Also I noticed that lately the Pa Nang wasn't as good as I first remembered. So I decided to try out something closer and came upon Arawan. Yeah thats not the correct address so I would google before I go. The place is actually pretty looking given the limited space. Its always bustling everytime I go. The Pa Nang actually turned out to be better than Chaba's. All the other stuff I've tried (sorry don't know names) wasn't bad. One of the garlic chicken dishes was actually bland but other than that I've always enjoyed my food here. And it doesn't burn a hole in your pocked. The staff is pretty nice as well. The hotness of the food depends on the chef you get. I've found out that a ""4"" is actually hotter than a ""5"". Maybe its because they think you can't handle a 5 and turn it down but if you like your food spicy, then emphatically stress on that because they will take you lightly.
7.Imago Dei Community

Churches & Places of Worship
Imago Dei Community meets to worship at Franklin High School at 5405 SE Woodward- on the corner of 52nd and Woodward between Division and Powell. For more information visit their website. \r Their business offices are at 811 East Burnside Suite #223 Portland OR 97214.\r \r Imago Dei Community is a breath of fresh air in GOD's Kingdom. Imago Dei means ""Image of GOD"". In other words, it is a community of GOD Lovers who desire to reflect the heart of GOD in their individual lives. Solid in their belief in GOD's Word they deeply desire to practically live out these truths. The Community at Imago Dei is primarily made up of about 2000+ students, young adults, young married couples with and w/o kids and a few seasoned saints. Imago Dei Community is intensely interested in investing in the community of Portland and in the world. They are constantly trying to assess and meet the needs of the community.\r \r The worship and Bible teaching is fresh and heart felt ... there is nothing fake or ""canned"" here! There is reflective time of communion every week. Pastor Rick McKinley is brilliant, funny and has a heart of gold as he shares practical insights into GOD's Word. Rick has had secular background, so he understands the world, but he eventually ended up at Multnomah School of the Bible and then worked as a Youth Pastor. Later he and a community of believers started a small church in Portland that grew into Imago Dei Community. Imago Dei also is very strong in it's support of ""Home Groups"" that are spread all over the Portland and Vancouver areas. These Home Groups offer a chance for people to build close friendships, while supporting each other and reaching their local communities. \r My Bride and I, with our two college age kids, have been going to Imago Dei Community for almost 7 years. It has been a wonderful place to worship and grow. It is truly a beautiful reflection of GOD's Image.

Imago Dei has been an exceptional refreshing take on Christianity. Though it has grown to a large size and can be impersonal sometimes, they are there to disciple and spread truly good news. They are dedicated to the city and local communities and spend money and time on things other than church buildings or nice sound systems. Come, but don't just come. Rather make it your home, get plugged in.

This is a great place to belong. You'll love it here. Friendly people, a wonderful worship atmospher, great speakers, and a church committed to mission. I love the options here. From venues for senior adults to the Sunday night Journey venue for a younger generation, to the home and connection groups, it's all done with a sense of serving the needs of a cross generation. This church is determined to find out what God wants them to do, and doing it!. You'll love this great group of people. From the James the custodian to delightful and humorous Pastor Dennis, and everyone in between. This is a wonderful place to belong.

I was born, baptized, raised and confirmed in this church. I was a member of this congregation many years ago and loved going to church. My mother Marie George (who passed away in May of 2008) was a member also as was my sister Linda who also married there and had both of her sons baptized by Pastor Carl Overvold. I remember him and Pastor Warren Hanson fondly. Sandra George

This church is not flashy, but it is real. Truly caring people here who love the Lord. They will not judge or demoralize you. They will accept anyone. If you are burned out on religion but want to connect with your spiritual self, check it out. This church is a beacon of light, but with so much chaos in the world, sometimes we get distracted. Don't expect anything, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

You can tell that the Pastor at this church loves people and they diligently serve the people in and around the Portland metro area. The welcome and compassion I have received from the entire community of the church is unlike any other group of Christians I have ever had the priviledge to come in contact with. They really do care for the work of the Lord. The music ministy is anointed and uplifting. You truely do enter into the presence of God and the congregation knows how to Praise the Lord, freely and liberally. You really do get blessed everytime the doors are open.

I would recommend it to anybody to go. I haven't been yet, but they are fast on the go and Christian. If you can get away, it is a very nice neighborhood, too. I have seen battering and a new way to take it, by a guy who has hired, robbed me, and was only the insight the individuals needed to copycat him, and the only words I have is to become Christian. I hope we find this ministry sometime, as cute as you are, were and being that you were everything, also, too, Seth.

I grew up at this church, but the congregation makes you feel like family whether youve been attending for 20 years or two sundays. Problems with the church: the choir doesn't sound very good (but the church band is rockin') and the pews and carpet are earth tones (installed in the 70s).

This is an employer that is pathetic and treats their employees with complete and total disregard. If you're considering working for them, you might want to think again as there are absolutely no rights given the employees of this company! The working environment for the employees is one that is extremely intimidating due to being made to feel as though they could lose their job over just about anything they do. I pity anyone who works for these folk.

Members are apparently not aware that Fremont United Methodist is a cell tower landlord with a 20-year lease to ATT. The cell tower on 26th did not ""appear"" like a telephone pole or streetlight. Church is actively involved, earning revenue, and allowing use of their alley for noisy electrical equipment five feet from neighbors' homes. Tower is next door to neighbors' homes and one block from children of Alameda Elementary School. Neighbors are worried sick about health hazard to their children. Visitors, if you are church-shopping, please find another and do not reward Fremont United Methodist with your membership or your dollars. Members, please ask Wendy Woodworth to do the right thing for all of us and have the cell tower removed.
