If you haven't been into this establishment for a bite to eat yet you're missing out, not to mention they now have a full service bar!!... This place is seriously open every single day at 8am and for how wonderfully good and cheap the breakfast is, it is beyond me why there isn't a line out the door..... I like to go there for the $3 Bloody Marys on the weekends and during the week I can pop in for a Streetcar Special (cheeseburger Yummy!, fries, and pop) which is actually ready with enough time for me to eat it and not be late back for work! It's amazing. Oh, and the waitstaff have good attitudes which is hard to find in this city. I say this place is worth checking out.

I'm not one of those people who write reviews, but for The Melting Pot... I just had to. \r \r My boyfriend and I have always liked to think we were spontaneous in everything we do...especially when it came to food! ;) So when I heard about The Melting Pot and how they do fondues and all this what not, I was just confused...but mostly intriqued by all the reviews with the help of research and friends. Knowing that it was our 2 year anniversary coming up, I got excited and booked a reservation for the two of us last night. \r \r Knowing how he was, I knew he wasn't happy that the surprise was in Downtown Portland (one way streets) but we made it in a super convienent parking lot right across from where The Melting Pot was.\r \r The minute we stepped into the door, the front desk was very welcoming and warming. The whole front desk had mentioned ""Happy Anniversary"" which really showed us they cared. The host lead us to cozy table which had a rose for us set up in the corner where we could have our alone time which was nice as well and also got a picture taken and framed. I thought that was super sweet.\r \r We were greeted by our server, Caitlynn, who was spectacular. Very well spoken and clear about everything. Helped us customise our entrees and over all experience which is great for my indicisive personality! We were then greeted by general manager, Sean...who was just hilarious and very intuituve about his work place and the environment. He interacted with us about what he was doing with the mixing of the cheese fondue, and about how he loves working at the Melting Pot. I found it refreshing and I could tell in the staff themselves. Even going to the restroom, I ran into 5 employees and they all greeted me with warm smiles and one stopped to show me to the bathroom. I really could tell this staff were like a family and I could feel it. \r \r The food was amazing. I mean, it was well presented, and delicious. Not too over whelming. The cheese fondue was mouth watering, the main entree was just enough to keep us full and right when we thought we couldn't fit anymore food in, we HAD to get in the smore's chocolate fondue. oh...my... goodness. I'm just letting you guys know, i'm going to say it, it was orgasmic. I recommend that one to anyone!\r \r Overall, it was a wonderful experience. \r My boyfriend and I had a great Anniversary and not only did we connect again and laugh...but we connected with the place and the people.

11.Blowout A Blow Dry Bar
128 NW 12th Ave
I love this place! Fun atmosphere, the owner is super nice and professional, and both times I've been, the stylists have been skilled, efficient, and friendly. \r \r The first time, I got a half-price groupon for the ""Blowout Luscious,"" which is normally $42, and includes a deep conditioning treatment and a scalp and neck massage. I asked for loose curls -- my hair is naturally pretty straight, so there was a fair amount of product involved, but that's to be expected. \r \r Most recently, I went for the basic blowout -- I wanted to get ready for a date, felt a little rushed in the morning, and since it's in the neighborhood where I work, thought I'd see if they had availability during my lunch. The website allows you to make reservations really easily at any time, and you're sent a confirmation immediately.\r \r I asked my stylist, Ally, to go easy on the product, and just make it something pretty and sleek that would carry over to the next day -- turned out fabulous! Received compliments immediately when I got back to work.\r \r The ""Lucious"" is great if you have a little extra cash, but I think the basic blowout is a pretty good value for those times when you want to know your hair will look great, you have about an hour, and you can do with some pampering. \r \r Oh, and I know others have complained about the use of paper towels -- I've had regular towels used both times I went in, and no problem with water dripping down my back. The stylists know what they're doing, and have fun with it while making sure you get what you asked for.
12.Momo Bar Maximo

happy hour 3-8. Previous reviewer obviously has never been there. PBR tall boys are $2.00 , domestic drafts $2.00, microbrew drafts $ 3.00 and well cocktails $3.00. Staff is excellent and the back patio is the best in downtown, even has a covered pool table. Try one of the craft brews from Off the Rail Brewing while you are there. Room for big groups outside. A real fun place!
13.The Slammer Tavern

I have been going to this tavern for years. It is very quaint, and the owner Liz takes great pride in making you feel at home. There are many very friendly ""regulars"" that will make you want to return.

So you have to pay $3 to support some crazy guy with a beard down his belly and hair hanging down his back. Where else are you going to hear dylan, donovan and even garcia done in the best Popeye voice this side of Pocatello? I'm not sure I,ve ever been disappointed in the talent that plays at this smokey little joint. Service, well thats something that doesn't exist. Big deal, if the service was terrific, just imagine how much more packed this place would be. Spill beer on another customer so they won't come back!

I work here, and walk into the kitchen every night. It's amazingly clean, and our cooks are fantastic. I love the dancers here, especially the night girls who are extremely hot and talented. Our bar serves stiff drinks, and there's no cover. There really is no better place for bar scene with dancers and great food in Portland.

I recently stopped in for a beer at Plew's Brews and was very pleased with my experience there. The owner is super friend and knowledgable about the local micro offerings. This place is such a hotspot for microbrew fanatics that their taps can rotate by the hour. While visiting St. John's, Plew's Brews will definitely be a detour for me.

The food here is amazing! You can't find food like this at any other bar in Portland. Get the blackened Salmon with coconut rice! \r \r The staff has always been fun and sincere. I love this bar! Plus - it's right next to the Goodfoot so you can hop over for great food in between dancing like a crazy person.\r \r

Let's start with the TVs. Every booth has their own personal tv. You can turn to any game during the year and control the volume too. They have large screens and regular screens for every football game. The drinks are stiff just the way I like em. The staff is friendly, unlike Boss Hawgs, and attentive. They have a great breakfast buffet during footbal season and the regular menu is very satisfying. They have food specials during the week. The place always has a good crowd because the owner prides himself on offering more for less. Trivia and Texas Hold'Em enthusiasts flock to this place. They have earned my business because of repeated good service, fair prices, great food and I can watch my beloved Cubs and Cowboys anytime I want. The place is spacious so you won't feel cramped either. Explore for yourself and you'll be glad you did!

My husband and I went last night and had a great time. We ordered a couple happy hour appetizers first off, the meat smorgasbord and the fried pretzel nacho style. Both were great, interesting and tasty. The meat smorgasbord included beef heart, which neither of us had before and really enjoyed. I ordered two different cocktails which I enjoyed, both included egg whites, which is one of my favorite drink additions. We will definately be back and ordering entrees this time around.

I have only had breakfast here but it's good. The bacon's good, the sausage is good. Not cheap crap but good quality meats. The bartender/waiter was excellent. Cheap beeer! I think this place is awesome, nothing fancy, lotta weird types in and out, but whatever!

I had always heard that Crush had an awesome brunch, so some friends and I tried it out for our first and most certainly not our last time. To start off the bloody mary's were spicy and tasty. While we waited for our order there was free coffee cake and corn bread to hold us over. We got our meals and they were delicious. The stand out item was the chilaquiles. My friend, said it was the best egg dish she had had in a long time. We also had another scramble that was full of fresh garden vegtables and veggie sausage, which was fantastic, as well. Crush is a great new brunch place to add to my list of favorites.
