Pros: its nice thats it is organized alphabeticly and not by company or something like that.\r I have been to all of portlands comic stores and this may be the best.\r the prices are like they should be (the price by the barcode)and its even the same with back issues so thats convienyent.\r \r Cons:If you get a box subscription they are very strict and mess up often(they will put somthing in your box that you did not ask for and you have to buy it).\r the employies are not very polite to you.\r if you dont come in once a month to pick up your comics they get testy and may even take off your discount(if you have one)\r speaking of which takes forever to get if you are a person who doesn't feel like spending 40-50 dollers on comic books.\r they dont have variants which really stinks.\r even though i said its the best its like the best of the average.\r \r \r but thats about it i hope this helped you.

These guys are exactly how the other reviews are. They are friendly, nice, no pressure, they listen and they pay out pretty well. I love that they finger print people selling stuff - if you didn't steal it you have nothing to worry about right? :-) I'm so glad I went to these guys. If you have some gold you're selling - give these guys a look. :-)

I have been to O'Gallerie for several years, and have never been disappointed. The auction house itself is large, and the house is usually full. There is usually a lot of activity on the really good stuff, but for items that are not the best, then one should be aware that the sales price may not be exactly what you want. However, the people that give you the range of the sales price is usually very accurate, so if you don't like it, then don't sell it there, or just don't sell it. Just remember, other consignments stores want 40 to 60 percent, which is twice what O'Gallerie charges on the sell side. I like the online catalogs that come out weeks before the auction, where you can see a clear photo of the item, a detailed description, and a suggested sales range. It is extremely helpful to see what you want. These catalogs are then archived with actual prices for several months. There is also ample time to preview your items to purchase for 3 days before a major auction. This is extremely helpful, so you can see if there are any nicks/scratches/etc. well before you buy. The bidding goes fast, so don't be shy there, and you will have the time of your life! I love it!

Would love to support my neighborhood ""little guy,"" but this place is always a disaster. Yard-sale-quality selection, dirty and poorly organized, laughably high prices, and an attitude as if I'm being an enormous bother every time I've ventured to ask a question of the clerk, the few times I've stopped in over the past few years while out walking my neighborhood. A consistent disappointment. With Powell's less than a mile away on Hawthorne, they need to offer better quality and service! I'm guessing they make most of their money from mail-order, because it is not an enjoyable shopping experience in person... Sad.

I was visiting from Florida when I stumbled upon this little jewel, they sell a wide variety of gifts in various price ranges. They also had the best selection of greeting cards, (better than Powell's), a wide variety of styles, my spouse also bought coffee there which came with a great little poster/card. We have not tried it yet, but it smells wonderful. The service was also outstanding, very friendly.\r \r The only thing odd to us about the state of Oregon in general is the lack of public restrooms and the lack of driver etiquette, we could not believe the number of people blowing thru stop signs, cutting us off, etc. California drivers are more courteous. Maybe they need more police officers in Oregon.

We were forced to find a place to store our RV due to the City of Portland's archaeic policies. A to Z not only gave us the best price but superior service along with it.\r \r We started out at their outside lot and felt comfortable right away with their staff - Lisa & Jim. They provide excellent service and are always pleasant. Dave has been great, too. When they were able to offer inside storage, we signed up right away.\r \r All that I need to do to get my vehicle is call 24 hours in advance. They make themselves available at any time so I don't have to rush to be there before the store itself closes.\r \r Our vehicle is always presented to us in excellent condition and with all contents present and accounted for - a true plus in our mind.\r \r They log the vehicle out and log it back in. If we cannot return it the date we give them, all we do is give them a quick call and they make a note that it will be brought back by ""x"" date & time. \r \r I have and will continue to recommend them to friends who find themselves in need of vehicle storage. They may need to expand to meet the needs of this community.\r \r All in all, I am a very satisfied customer.

Run, don't walk"" is right. I stumbled across Lounge Lizard only a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. The store is clean and uncluttered, the inventory is constantly changing and the staff are awesome. I'm in the process of furnishing a room so I've been in several times since my discovery and I've been consistently pleased with the store and everybody that I've encountered there. I had a problem with some lighting that I had purchased (my problem, not the lighting's problem) and they went out of their way to help me. On one trip, my husband coveted a desk, but frugally walked away (silly man). I called Christopher on the sly later that day and he slapped a ""sold"" sign on it just trusting me to come by and pay for and pick it up a few days later. There is nothing junky about this store and the prices are very reasonable for such nice authentic vintage pieces. I'm sure to be a loyal customer for years to come. Kudos for a business run right!

I buy my jewelry here. They have layaway. I mean, hello- layaway. I have bought one of a kind pieces here. You know that when you buy amber here, it is REAL. They have fixed rings that have gotten bent, they have fixed a clasp, they have ordered what they don't have. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Go. Now.

If you're looking for a suit, call and find out what days Barbara, the seemstress, buttongirl.barbaraevans@gmail, is there. I hate shopping, but Barbara made it super easy and fun. Within minutes she had a suit picked out, according to what I was looking for, and was quick to grab me a shirt that fit and provide a number of ideas how to make the suit fit even better. If you don't find something you like in your size, she'll help you fit into the suit you want! (within reason) The suit went from one I was okay with, since I had to wear a suit, to being completely pumped out of my mind about it and looking forward to wearing it as soon as possible. When she was done tailoring it, it went from looking like a $145 vintage suit to a $800 classic suit. She thought of everything and was not only helpful, but really funny and fun to work with. Thanks again for everything Barbara!

I have been in Cielo multiple times this year. On two different occasions I talked with the owners about specific pieces of art (a mirror and a statue). It is apparent that the owners take pride in their store from their knowledge and passion behind everything in the store. When I'm looking for the perfect gift for myself or someone else, this is my first stop. Unique, quality, and smiles.

With a wide selection of stylish vintage and retro clothing, plus various other unique knicknacks this is a very fun shop. Their slogan Bitchin' Kitsch and Counter Couture definitely applies. I found an over the top, 70's tuxedo with white pants and a crazy patterned light blue and white jacket with frilly fronted shirt that is totally pimp. There's also an interesting selection of crazy Thai movie posters, some being particularly gruesome and cool Cultural Revolution Mao memorabilia (posters, clocks, pins). Jason and Andrea are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Being in a shopping deadzone (look on the map for SE Portland in the last Willamette Week finder to see what I mean), they open later in the day (rarely are they open before noon) and often stay open late into the night (sometimes past midnight on the weekends) to match the influx of the restaraunt and bar crowd. They live upstairs, so if the shop is open but locked, a phone call to the number on the door will send them down. Due to the irregularity of their business hours, I strongly recommend calling in advance if you specifically want to shop there, or try to get the number from the door (which is their cell, not the number listed here) and schedule an appointment. Sort of a pain, but I found the treasures within well worth the effort.

I friens and I went into decades this weekend and I was very favorably impressed. The store itself is very small (it was hard to move around when there were only three customers), but the inventory was fantastic. You can tell that whoever does their buying is very selective, all of the pieces were in excellent condition, which is often not the case in vintage stores. The man that was working (possibly the owner?) was very helpful and friendly and seemed to be quite knowledgable about everything in the store. I will definitely be going back.
