Cotton Center Cafe
Cotton or “The Cotton Center” Café. I see there’s reviews for “Cotton Center Café” but the waitress wrote the name as “Cotton Café” in absence of an official business card. The addresses are the same. Therefore, to be fair, I may not be the first reviewer. Anyway, the lack of a business card or a menu I can take with me, are just a few of the service issues I had with this place. The wait staff was nice enough but I always get aggravated after the first few, “I’m sorry, we don’t have that.” This is what I heard just about every time I wanted something. So, I settled for alternate choices and enjoyed the food somewhat. However, I far as I could tell, there are no meals that distinguishes this place as unique. Rather, the meals are “run of the mill” everyday items you’d find in any greasy spoon diner. On the way out, noticing the familiar green and gold jersey in a photo, I asked the waitress and sure enough, the owner is a transplant from Wisconsin. Well, welcome to the Golden State sir and I hope you enjoy your stay and prosper. But your café needs some work. If I may suggest: a few unique menu items and current business cards and menus that customers can take with them is a plus in my opinion as well. Many of us Californians like to call in orders ahead of time. I may stop by again if passing through Porterville, but my repeat business is going to have to be earned.

Elements Hair Salon
Unlike the previous reviewer, I have only gone here for haircuts, nothing more. Therefore I will only discuss the quality of their haircuts, which are A+!At least two of the stylists here give a haircut that I can assure you rivals that of a $100 (or more) cut anywhere else..and I do mean ANYWHERE else! I am an older woman with thinning, fragile, difficult to cut and style hair, and every time I emerge from their skillful hands my hair looks at least 20 years younger, and perfectly styled! I've had my hair cut all over the world by THE BEST, and believe me these girls are EXPERTS at cutting hair! They are especially skillful at handling problems like "cow licks" and thin spots, both serious problems with my hair which the girls here handle beautifully.Shirley Pena

Porterville Collision Center
Great professional staff. The girl in the office was really sweet. I was impressed on how knowledgeable the guy giving me a quote was. He explained everything to me even though I don't know a thing about cars. All I know is they do good work and I am a happy customer. One con was the cleanliness of the restroom. Weird pet peeve of mine...trash on floor. The office however was nice.

Beebe's Auto Repair
The hourly rates of this business may seem expensive but the speed with which they complete repairs is amazing. For example they put an entire NEW air conditiong kit into my 1998 Chevy S10 for just $750. Other places in Porterville wanted $1200 up. I've had other repairs done there with similar experiences regarding their charges out the door. I highly recommend them.

The Hair Station
The ladys do a great job and are friendly, but the lady that does eyebrow threading does not really have a nice attitude. She is always on the phone and is mean with walk-ins.

Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
