MedExpress Urgent Care
Quickest and best doctor's visit I've EVER had! I went to MedExpress on Tuesday night because I was having trouble with my lungs and I couldn't see my family doctor after work. The staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful! I was seen almost immediately. As soon as I walked in, the receptionist took my insurance information, and only a minute after that the nurse called me back for weight, blood pressure, etc. Everyone was super nice. About five minutes later, I was already talking to the doctor! She said I had bronchitis, which my family doctor had failed to diagnose the last time I had the same problem. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. EVEN MORE - This morning I got a call from the receptionist to check on me and see how I was doing -- so nice! Honestly, I'd rather go to MedExpress than my regular doctor. I was seen super quickly, my insurance covers the cost, and the staff is competent and friendly.

Hometown Urgent Care
Joy Wisser and the staff that saw my daughter today were absolutely wonderful. I walked in and their was no wait, we were seen in about 10 minutes and the whole thing was done in 30 or less. My daughter is non verbal, they were so sweet to her, when I discovered her cup had frozen in the car overnight, they gave me a bottle of water for her, and when I mentioned I was waiting for her dad to come and get us, they gave her some motrin while we waited, due to her high fever. Thank you so much for your kindness ladies, I had no idea a visit to the urgent care could go so smoothly, and be so pleasant.

Hometown Urgent Care
Not the greatest experience I've ever had taking my son to urgent care. The doc was impatient and short with my 5 year old son. She admitted to being short with him and apologized to me repeatedly after I expressed my dissatisfaction with her services. Other than that it was ok - he was treated and given a prescription. I'll go elsewhere in the future.

Every time I go here I have always had GREAT care and the doctors listen very well! Ray is one of the docs there and he is awesome! Every time I take my son there they are always very patient and ready to help. The rest of the staff is very good as well. Have never had a bad experience here!
Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as yellowpages.com. Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
