J Paul Mahfood MD
Dr. J. Paul Mahfood is the doctor you want to have! He sets the bar.... for the most Top Notch Doctor in the United States. It took me over 14 yrs. Of seeing countless doctors that none of which had my best interest in hand. He from the first visit literally took 2 hours of his time to help me and reassure me that I was in good hands. I left there thanking GOD so much for that miracle, and he has never let me down. I've been seeing him monthly since and I'm still in awe that he and his two employee's can and do manage a prestigious practice. If you are tired of feeling like a number and not a patient, I recommend highly that you give this Doctor just one introduction and you will be blown away with his approach to what it means to be in the care of a "Real Doctor"

Associated Coastal Ent
My 5-year-old daughter was snoring and having trouble sleeping at night so we visited Coastal ENT for an evaluation of her tonsils and they said they have to remove the tonsils. The surgery went better than I could have possibly hoped. After a few quiet days around the house, she was up and running again with no ill-effects. We are so blessed to have this clinic close our home.

This practice is incomparable. There are no double bookings. You are seen within 1-7 minutes of arriving. The doctors are all super friendly. They run the best medical facility I have ever been to and I have been to a great many in over the years. I can't say enough about their expertise, their friendliness, their accurate diagnoses! they are simply the best!!!

In July I decided to visit Dr. Slack who after visit to my home and practice several medical exams, put me on a treatment that since day #1 I have noticed a difference... Thanks for the great work... My wife and I thank you

It is so comforting go to a Dr. who really takes his time to talk with you and explain in detail things. I saw Dr. Slack for a throat issue which was really worrying me. He was awesome and helped me to deal with my anxiety, while giving me wonderful medical care. A really great experience.

Oliver, Lawrence G, MD
Dr Oliver is such a terrific cardiologist - the office is professional and does amazingly good work. I've had so many personal recommendations from others needing far more advanced cardiac interventions and their outcomes were terrific. Very highly recommend him!

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
