Bayshore Pet Grooming & Boarding3+Bayshore Pet Grooming & Boarding4.811 reviewsPet groomer in Port St. Lucie, FloridaCALLDIRECTIONSSHAREWEBSITE1704 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St To say the least, POOR quality service!! I have been taking my dog here since October 2016 and the last two cuts were uneven, choppy, and not cut as requested. Their service recovery is very poor and they do NOT seem to mind losing a customer. They also do not mind inconveniencing you to bring your dog back in upon "their availability" with no remorse towards the inconvenience you are caused. Not once, have they offered a discount or any other service for the poor quality grooming, time spent, gas, and overall inconvenience to get them to fix the awful grooming received. I moved from Ohio where I had the same groomer for years that offered a family atmosphere and let you know that you were appreciated as a customer. At Bayshore Pet Grooming you will feel like another number, not a customer of interest!! sad, just sad.

Customer service excellent, Very Very clean shop. All the staff were very well informed. I would highly reccomend taking your pet to them.... I FIRST wrote a review in July 2012 when took our first dog to see Barry and his staff. Since then we have adopted a Bichon from the rescue shelter. We stopped in to see Barry with Candy and even though they were very busy he took the time to visit with us and answer all of our questions. Candy who is very timid toward strangers seemed not to miond at all when Barry took her and held her. Again Bayshore Pet Grooming Is #1 and we suggest that anyone interested in finding the best groomers in the area should stop by and visit Barry and his staff. Super, Super Great!!! 10/01/2012

Looking in the yellow pages I find this with a one star review. It seems the OP is offended because this groomer doesn't do large dogs. Which is most likely stated on the website, which my guess is the OP didn't even bother to look at. Poor taste to try to ding a person's reputation over your ignorance and because you feel slighted. Not all dog groomers groom large dogs. I don't even know this groomer but I'm giving them a 5 star just to counter act your petty 1 star. Why would the groomer take on a pup that is going to grow into a dog that's above their weight limit? Too easily offended and my guess is they are better off without YOU as a customer. And the title of your topic is don't use this vet. Need I say more?

They are soooo good! I have been to many places thru-out my dogs life and I will NEVER switch again. He is a toy poodle and they always do a great job. I like a mo-hawk and they always do good. Very thorough, loving, gentle. GREAT experience with the owner and his daughter. I would recommend them 10 times over. Go to the best. I saw some complaints against Barry, let me tell you that I have been going to Barry with my dog for years now and is nothing but super sweet, super nice, tons of help and suggestions for keeping my dog up to par and nice looking.People are always going to hate - my recommendation is to try this place anyways because Barry is awesome and so are all his people.

when we moved down here I did a lot of research for a great groomer for our dog slippers . Many people gave me different groomers and reason why they like and don't like .. I decided on pet place groomers and couldn't be happier . Ricardo is so good with slippers .. the way he holds her and also wants us to be happy with her cut ..He is very considerate of all the animals that come into his place . thank you Ricardo for being such a great person to our Slippers we are very comfortable leaving her with you ! jane cizynski

Our first visit to Bayshore was yesterday - - and it for sure won't be our last! They were so helpful and informative about how to groom our silky yorkie - - and they did such a nice job - - especially since they had to "fix" what I tried to do at home - lol. Maxxy looks so cute now and came home very happy with a picture and a new toy. They love all their furry clients and treat them as their own. At last we've found a wonderful groomer!!! Thank you!!

We have always had short haired dogs that really didn't require much grooming. A few months ago we rescued Mara, an 8 year old Border Collie that has some wild hair. After a few hours at Bayshore Pet Grooming, she looks like a completely different dog. She is even more beautiful than before. The staff at Bayshore Pet Grooming were so kind to her and very accomodating for us. Thank you so much for the great job you did.

Love On A Leash
My first visit was very satisfying! I have a medium breed dog that needed her nails clipped/filed and she is not use to getting them done. In fact, she hates any environment that feels like the vets office. Anyway, they were VERY patient with her and handled her with care. I will definitely be back. Thank You

I've been using Pet's Place Grooming for a year now and I couldn't be happier. My longhair Dachshund, Fredrika never looked better and my sister takes her Havanese there too! We both kenneled our pups for the weekend there and we're very pleased. A big thanks to Ricardo and his staff!!

Lee has been grooming my Maltese Rosie for 2 years now. She always does a great job. When you walk in it almost seems like your dropping your dog off to a family member. My Rosie gets so exited when she goes. I highly recommend Love On A Leash.
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
