Was moving and needed to cancel my membership. I was cool the $10 cancelation fee because I was told about. What I was not told about was the 60 days that you have to wait for it to actually cancel while still paying your monthly fee. How does it make sense to charge someone money for something they aren't using. It is theft and a complete ripoff. Called corporate and left a few message and never got any calls back. Wouldn't recommend this gym to anybody
That they are the worst establishment for your money. I cancelled over 60 days ago and since then have been double billed and they are still billing me. I had a friend sign up and she has had random charges on her account from Get Fitness that are for services she never signed up for. The price was fine, but I am gladly paying much more at a nicer establishment with better customer service. I highly recommend not choosing Get Fitness.
My good friend/ co worker told me about this gym, I was skeptical because of costs ( I myself payed about $250 to break my contract so to be penalized $10 is silly to complain about, plus you have to give notice to any membership, even a job!) the staff is amazing, so kind, helpful, and even gave us great discounts in exchange for advertisement with my fiancé and also the company I work for. Great place. And honestly, if you don't or can't pay $10 a month, then go jogging or do housework, geez.
This place sucks. Really- The gym equipment itself is not bad, but the customer service and ALL OF THE HIDDEN FEES, absolutely suck money out of your bank account.
They have more hidden fees in the contract than you can imagine. My bank account gets more charges from GET FITNESS than any other company. I'm disgusted with the management here. Thank goodness for other gyms.
Awesome place, friendly staff, and I love having brand new equipment! Ive never seen anything broken for longer than a few days which is great especially since i was used to seeing "broke down" equipment forever before they changed to getfitness. Its a month to month club but you do pay first and last and they tell you up front that it is a 60 day notice to cancel ( the salesman even highlighted it for me) So you do commit yourself for 3 months. Honestly if you cant commit to 90 days then you probably werent that serious about getting in shape
Signed up for a "month -to-month" membership. Although there is no "contract", there is an actual fine print form that you sign agreeing to extra charges for this and that and permission to draft your checking account. Later learned my $10.64/month (first and last up front) was only a “basic” limited membership. I wasn't able to get there much so I wound up cancelling. So then they say, in my "no contract" I have to give 60 day notice and $10.65 cancellation fee (details left out upon signing up) So they drafted my account for an addition month and the cancellation fee. If you want to "Get Fit" here, beware, and take a magnifying glass to read that fine print.
